The origins of this strain are somewhat shrouded in mystery, although popular legend states that it was a cross of Nepalese sativa and Thai sativa by a group of growers that met at Grateful Dead concert. Other rumors say that it is one of the parent strains of the legendary Sour Diesel, although if you keep digging you’ll find cannabis connoisseurs saying that Sour Diesel is a parent of Chemdawg... Regardless of the truth of the matter, we can say confidently that Chemdawg has been on the forefront of craft cannabis culture in the United States since the beginning, becoming a recognized strain early-on for its strong sedative high.
