Strain overview: Tangerine Dream is a cross between G13, Afghani, and Neville’s A5 Haze. The strain, produced by Barney’s Farm in Amsterdam, is known for its high THC content and big yields. Though high in THC, this strain is popular among medical patients who need something that doesn’t prevent them from being productive and functional. As its name suggests, Tangerine Dream has a light citrus aroma and flavor.

Grow techniques: Tangerine Dream will thrive in a hydroponic setup. Take clones and use a SOG (sea of green) setup to fill your grow space and maximize the yield. Prune heavily during vegging to keep good airflow. This strain isn’t the easiest to trim due its Haze genetics and resin production.

Flowering time: 8-9 weeks

Yield: High

Grow difficulty: Moderate

Climate: Tangerine Dream likes a Mediterranean climate if growing outdoors, and prefers temperatures that stay between 68 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Indoor/outdoor: Suitable for indoors or outdoors. If growing outdoors, aim for a location with a warm, dry fall climate.

Feeding: Feed Tangerine Dream a diverse spread of macro-nutrients to maintain the plant’s immune system. Silica will help provide energy for its thick branches while higher nitrogen levels early on will help this plant fill your grow space before flowering.
