TV—Monday: Celebrate the holidays with the help of some Southern twang and catch the annual CMA Country Christmas on ABC  | Friday: Season one of Netflix’s new supernatural crime drama “Tidelands” promises mermaids involved in drug trafficking; Netflix’s reboot of the ‘80s animated action series “Voltron: Legendary Defender” premieres its eighth and final season | Saturday: HBO airs comedian Pete Holmes’ latest stand-up special, “Dirty Clean”  | Sunday: Netflix debuts The Boss’ new concert film, “Springsteen on Broadway.”

Film—The Internet is buzzing over the new “Avengers: Endgame” trailer, coming months after one of superhero cinema’s most devastating cliffhangers; “Deadpool 2” gets a family-friendly redux for the holidays with “Once Upon a Deadpool”; Marvel’s super-fun “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” already has a Golden Globe nom for best animated film; director Peter Jackson is at the helm of the latest sci-fi adventure, “Mortal Engines.”

Music—The Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man offers his latest album, “Meth Lab 2: The Lithium”;  Bruce Springsteen releases the audio companion to his “Springsteen on Broadway” Netflix special.

Sports—Europe’s Champions League competition closes out its final matchday this week before entering the knockout stage in 2019. While 12 teams have already guaranteed a spot, expect a flurry of dramatic finishes.
