Super Lemon Haze

9/6/2015
This is an incredible sativa strain. It tastes and smells great. It's easily one of the smoothest buds I've ever had. It tastes sweet, like lemonheads and gives you a very energizing and cerebral high. Whenever I smoke this stuff, I feel like going out, cleaning my house, or focusing on something important.

Mettrum, Ltd.

Mettrum is a quality LP. I have their Red #2 (Super Lemon Haze) and Blue #1 (Godbud, which is a high CBD strain). Both are very high quality. The buds are covered in tiny trichomes and have distinctive and pleasant smells and tastes. The Super Lemon Haze is one of the best sativa strains I've ever tried. It has a real energizing, cerebral effect, and it tastes smooth like lemonheads. The Godbud is everything they advertise; it has a very heavy and sedating effect on the body. It's a great nighttime medicine. The only downside is that Mettrum has been going through some growing pains recently. They've been sort of low on their product, running out of strains, which is a real bummer. I hope they fix this because they have the potential to be a really amazing LP.

Aphria

Aphria is just OK. I have ordered a couple strains (Panache, Tamaracouta) and have had mixed results. The Panache is supposedly a Strawberry Cough strain. The buds are really low quality. They don't look/smell/taste like Strawberry Cough and don't have the advertised energizing, sativa-like buzz. Tamaracouta is their version of Girl Scout Cookies. This strain is a bit better in quality, but it's not anything that will blow you away, especially if you have used other producers. I've found that the staff at Aphria isn't very helpful. When you call in and ask about strains, they seem pretty clueless about the actual genetic crosses that go into making strains. They also use proprietary names (i.e. Henik, Panache, etc), which makes it difficult to really figure out if they are really selling certain strains, or just knock-offs. My sense is that it's the latter and that they rely on these fake names to disguise the fact that they aren't really selling the strains they claim to sell.
