Cannabis Nation Beaverton (Blooming Deals)
11/10/2015
So Blooming Deals (BD) has a very convenient location and is better in price/product compared to the other dispensaries in west Beaverton. Simple and clean setup.
But today I just did not like my visit for several reasons. First, the flower was very sparse in the display samples. Only half of the displays were being used and the others were just awkwardly sitting there, emply, looking like they needed to be filled. And looking more closely, the cyrstaline content is just not what I'd expect of fresh, top-view/top-tier bud.
So the more aesthetic problem was that they were swamped and they had a rather constant line of 4-8 people for just their three cashiers. Thus, we waited in line a while. And when I get up to the table (I decided on Jewish OG, 7g, $70) I give my order and I overhear a medical patient at the other register inquiring as to whether they gave a discounted price on dabs for buying in a larger quantity. And the blonde behind the counter gives out this snarky reply that BD no longer gives out that deal because "People would take advantage of it and come in and get a whole ounce." Isn't that the point of being a responsible consumer?! And so I make say this outloud only to get seriously partronizing tounge from the blonde that there's a lot more to it, "And the medical world is a LOT different."
Excuse me ma'am, I've been in the OMMP field for a few years now, and it is none of your business to make outloud remarks about what I might or might not know about OMMP. Not to mention, could you make it more obvious who was the patient at the counter, way to regard their privacy. And to add, my specialty with OMMP is in oils and extracts and striving to create the purest and MOST AFFORDABLE dabs while using the least amount of marijuana flower.
So January 1st is around the corner. Recreational buyers are gonna be out on a frenzy to find dabs. DONT GO HERE OBVIOUSLY! They vocalized their initiative was to make sure they weren't being "taken advantage" of by the customer.
Every individual should fiscally treat themselves like a business, and when the price gets too high, it's "best for our (individual) business" just move on to better storefronts.
But moving along to the atmosphere. There are four large canvas photographs inside. Two of them are certianly of London, UK streets, another of possibly Paris/London/St.Petersburg, and a outliner of the bridge over the river Kwai. …Have you all ever heard of Beaverton, where this business is located... Where cannibis is legal… I guess I just don't see any relationships between the artwork, the store, the product, or when blindly comparing photos to each other. Support local art.
