Granny Smith

7/27/2022
I smoked Granny Apple in a sap-like concentrate. It was well-processed, richly colored, and almost completely see-through. Upon opening, the smell that hits first is more of a toasted marshmallow than apples. With a deeper inhale, faint notes of wood and herbs fill the subconscious, instinctively making you want more. I used my High Five E-nail on my trusty rig, Tormund Giantsdab. One very small dot into the nail, short inhale, pause, big inhale, slight exhale, then large dab on the nail with a full inhale and hold for as long as possible. I was treated to the sweet taste of spice and citrus that transformed to deeply toasted apples. And even with my lungs, throat, and mouth full of smoke, I did not cough. The inhale is so smooth and light that you are left wondering if you got a hit at all. Then, you exhale and see the clouds upon clouds billowing out right before you are hit with the harsh burn that reminds you that this candied apple is actually a powerful cannabis strain. The effects were quick- the opposite of so many "creeper" strains. I found it hard to track my reactions as the most pronounced one was of unfocused whimsy. I jotted down the the notes I could remember before letting it take me to a relaxed yet alert headspace. The most notable part of Granny Apple strain is it's paradoxical effects. It is rare to find a strain that keeps you relaxed without putting you to sleep or makes food taste better without sending you to the fridge every 5 minutes. As someone with a very overwhelming sense of munchies, it was a refreshing find. Don't pass up an opportunity to try it yourself.
