Robot Pharmer

10/2/2019
I was moved to get this flower after smelling it all day at work. I'm talking about Cinderella 99 from Robot Pharmer. For some reason, the sight of it didn't immediately attract me even though it does look very nice with it's bright lime green color and oddly rounded clusters that were very dense. Oddly because narrow leaf or "sativas" are generally longer spear shaped and often the buds are one the loose or airy side. It was the smell that finally made me say to myself, "I gotta have it." Under a loupe (still working on getting a new microscope), this flower was a carpet of capitate stalked (the ones we all like) trichomes perfectly ripened to a milky white and very much intact and trimmed nicely. The smell was really how I ended up with this flower, though. I mostly sensed this in the opthalmic zone with only a tickle at the bottom of my nose in the maxillary zone. I first caught the gas fumes, but that melted to lime, eucalyptus, pine, and some flowers. This plant is perfect medicine for me and is exactly the type of thing I use daily to control my mood and manage my bipolar symptoms. This mellows me out without dumbing me down. I think for some, the UP may be too much. However, Cinderella comes prepared with a mild sedative (flowers and fuel). This is what keeps me even without driving my mania. I also think that, in general, Cindy 99 is pretty gentle and the smoke is as smooth as it gets. Just a note that I would caution anyone who is sensitive to THC to take care if consuming this Cindy 99. Always start slow when in doubt.

Greencraft Medical Dispensary

I picked up some Gelato from Greencraft the other day and am finally getting to this post about it. I love Greencraft and the folks there ๐Ÿ’š. They're one of the few dispensaries I truly trust. One of my favorite aspects is their transparency. They go the extra mile on their labs and include terpene analysis. This makes it so much easier to determine the effects of the flower without even having a sample in front of me.๐Ÿฅณ I was encouraged to pick up some Gelato from them and provide my review of it. On to the Gelato. This flower is grown by Heartland Farms. The bud was slightly elongated and not quite dense but not quite airy and you almost have to look for the pistils. All this says medium to broadleaf dominant or in the common (albeit incorrect) tongue, Indica dominant hybrid. The glandular trichomes were very intact however this particular piece of inflorescence had predominantly unripe trichomes (crystal clear). Unfortunately, my microscope broke and I was unable to get a great picture. That in mind, harvesting early or late can impact the effect. For one, there are more precursor cannabinoids present than would have otherwise been if it were allowed to mature. I also understand that this can cause the chemistry to have a less sedative effect and more "narrow leaning" when premature and more sedative when harvested late. That said, this is an outstanding flower and only one small sample. I should also point out that labs do not test for this. I was nearly knocked out on the first smell from the aroma of fuel. I particularly love this aroma in cannabis and it's present in most of my medicine so I'm smiling at this point.๐Ÿ˜ I also smelled a lot of spice and something that reminded me of the fancy soap in grandma's bathroom that I wasn't supposed to use. I predicted this flower would have a very sedative effect and would be fantastic for pain management, insomnia, or if you simply want to slip into a coma. ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ˜ŒLOL. Seriously, this type for me is like a Xanax. I love it and it's great to enjoy during a movie or right before bed. I love this flower.

Rosebuds

I stopped by Rosebuds earlier to take advantage of their sale and picked up 4 varieties. We live in an amazing time and I love the entire concept of Rosebuds as they sell what they grow and they know their stuff, clearly. This one is called Dairy Queen and it does not disappoint. This particular cultivar is my kinda medicine. You know, the kind that makes you feel all tingly just smelling it which is, in case you didn't know, the best way to immediately tell if a particular variety will agree with you when you consume it. I couldn't remember if this was listed as an indica or sativa. I admit that I did look it up, but after my assessment. My first reaction was this was clearly a narrow leaf ("sativa") dominant at least. Brightly colored inflorescence, elongated clusters, robust pistils are all strong narrow leaf (NLM) - narrow leaf dominant (NLDM) characteristics. However, the cluster was super tight and packed which is very much more broad leaf dominant (BLDM). Trichomes were perfectly ripe and every inch covered in capitate stalked trichomes and very much intact. Then we come to the smelling ๐Ÿ˜ I picked up lemon, sage, maybe some pine, and a floral aroma (maybe roses? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜œ). The fruitier aromas are very NLM leaning while the floral and maybe spicier aromas are going to be more sedative. This flower, in my book is much more middle of the road or medium leaf marijuana (MLM) or as everyone else refers to them, a "hybrid", which is not inaccurate, but truly everything you see in a dispensary is a domesticated hybrid. The psychoactive effect of this flower is also middle of the road. I'm kind of weird sometimes due to my bipolar thing, but I get a very calm, but alert effect that I enjoyed very much. These guys have raised the bar in Tulsa for sure. Everyone has been very friendly and knowledgeable. They encourage customers to view the labs and have a loupe for customers to view the flower themselves. Rosebud's is one of my go-to's.
