Shatter

I've had good and fantastic shatter from CSC. Compared to the Craft shatter I got, this stuff is incredible. Each variety I've gotten has had good flavor, but some are better than others. For $18 a gram, it's good stuff.

Trenchtown

First time in. I came in for a deal they had posted for a $99 ounce. The shop has a great vibe and everyone I spoke to was friendly. I had Amanda as a budtender and she was very welcoming and easy to talk to. The $99 strain was Master Kush and was towards the end of the jar. She took her time to select the last of the larger popcorn sized buds from the jar for me and then grabbed more larger buds from the back to finish out the ounce instead of just dumping a bunch of the leaf shake into a container like 90% of other shops would. I didn't have to ask for that, so it seems like that's standard practice for them. That was a refreshing thing for me to see and really reflects how they operate, especially when it comes to someone like me who came in for the cheapest deal I could get. As far as the quality goes, I was very pleased. The Master Kush had a good signature Kush smell to it and tastes great in the vape. Everything about this place is what I like in a cannabis store. It's clear that they care about growing a good product and selling it for a fair price. If you're on a budget but don't like smoking hay smelling trim tasting weed, you need to come down to Trenchtown. It's definitely my new spot.

Silver Stem Fine Cannabis | Denver South

Stopped in for the first time today. I asked for concentrate recommendations because I had talked about getting some bad grams lately that had terrible flavor. Without hesitation he busted out several boxes of live resin and showed me the product that I could actually buy. This was big plus for me, because unfortunately the norm these days is to have one display jar showing perfect product, while the prepackaged product is nothing like the display. After hearing out their recommendations, I ended up going with the SFV OG Live Resin from Chronic Creations. He then informed me that they have two different reward programs and explained the benefits of it. Definitely recommend signing up for that, because it looks like the rewards accumulate quickly. I have the worst memory in the world, so I forgot his name, but the employee I worked with was super chill and really helpful. The thing that blew me away about this store most of all was their website. You can actually order your products online and pick them up in store, which is awesome, but my favorite feature of this is the ability to see EXACTLY what you're going to pay at the store with taxes. Most shops actually try to hide this as much as possible to mislead you into thinking that you'll be paying less. These guys are transparent about everything while being knowledgeable and super friendly.

Chronic Therapy

Recreational cannabis is Colorado is a sad industry right now. Shops are selling 1/8's of warehouse, hay smelling flower for upwards of $60 BEFORE taxes. It looks a lot like Medical did when it was first passed. If you don't have the ability to get a MMJ card, you're almost better off not smoking. That was how I felt before I came to Chronic Therapy in Wheat Ridge. $52.80 after taxes for an 1/8 of flower is still really expensive and overpriced, but for once I don't feel totally ripped off. Before I start rambling, let me just list the pros of this shop. - Pungent and flavorful flowers (Around 10 strains this Sunday afternoon) - A staff that was hired because of their knowledge. (Brandon was really chill and helpful) - A cozy location that's the perfect mix of a chill hangout and a clean store (No hospital vibe) - Easy to access wheat ridge location - RIDICULOUS amount of easy, free parking This is the only rec shop that I didn't walk out of without buying anything. There are a couple cons. -Popcorn bud city. Almost every jar was filled with tiny .1 or .2 nugs. For the price point, it would be nice to get some good dense nugs in an 1/8. To their credit, the couple strains they had that were really tiny nugs were on special for $70 for a 1/4 out the door. (Even with me complaining about the bud size, I still had to take them up on that offer) -The budtender was really pleasant and helpful with pricing and strain information, but it would be nice if they had an updated, itemized strain price list at the bud bar. It makes it a lot easier for the customer to look over. It also saves me from having to say, "How much is this again?" 10 different times. However, almost all of it is $52.80 after tax for an 1/8 except their Small batch strains (higher priced) and specials (lower price) -Their in store strains didn't match what was on their Leafly and Weedmaps menu's. This isn't as much of a problem, mostly because all of the strains they had listed on the menu's WERE in stock, but they had more available in store that wasn't listed on a website. I would have been in right when you opened if I knew Cookies n Cream was in stock! These 3 cons are mostly nitpicks and aren't enough to affect the perfect rating I'm giving them. Even if the buds are small, you can tell they were grown with care and grown to their full potential. The Liberty Haze and Cookies n Cream were both fantastic, and I will DEFINITELY be back. Awesome hidden gem in Wheat Ridge.
