Death Star
8/3/2015
Picked up from L'Eagle today and smoked a bowl of this stuff. It literally had me feeling like I took one of those big laser shots from the Death Star. I'm not playing; it was like from the movie, you know, how it took a while for the Death Star to charge up before firing? And then it shoots and obliterates an entire planet? Yeah, the high is like if YOU were the thing it was aiming at.
I'd consider myself a very high tolerance user and it still had me blasted (pun intended).
Just like the strain description says, the full sedating effects are slow to kick in, but once they do... Let's just say that the force is strong with this one!
Although obviously a fan, I've avoided Star Wars named strains simply because they haven't been anything to write home about... Until I stumbled across this formidable flower. If you are a high tolerance user or if you have issues with sleeping or anxiety, this is definitely the strain you are looking for!
Sativa Sisters - Spokane Valley

I've visited quite a few of the dispensaries in Spokane and the Spokane Valley, and while I'd say that Satori has the largest selection at a given time, The Sisters still outshine them and all other dispensaries in my book!
They've got good prices- a little on the higher side, but I've paid higher for less in other areas of the country, so don't let that deter you.
First off, I love the smell of the store when you walk in. Not many joints have the benefit of a coffee shop in the next room. That, and the smell of the amazing product on the shelves alone will make any first timer want to come back again just to get a better look. The store itself is nice- it's a bit on the small side and during peak hours it can get crowded, but for now it works. The shelves are stocked and the lighting is soft and pleasing. You won't see iPads flaunting beautifully manicured buds here, but overall there is a unique charm to the store that makes me overlook the fact that it's smaller.
The staff are wonderful- most are very knowledgeable and all are eager and ready to assist with a smile on their face. No one seems pushy- a disturbing trait I've seen cropping up at other dispensaries, mainly the larger ones.
The product is very good and varied to suit a wide variety of needs. They carry top brands, and it seems like every time I go in there just to get an eighth of my favorite strain, these sly devils talk me into something that ends up being a new fave- That's saying something considering I've been doing this for a little while now.
There are other small niceties about the Sativa Sisters that also make it worth a trip. The on-site ATM, paved parking lot, and the adjoined coffee shop are all signs that they are dedicated to their trade and want you to keep coming back to visit.
I rarely give anything five stars as I feel there is always room for improvement, but a four star rating just wouldn't cut it for dem' Sisters. You should absolutely check them out if you have the chance!
Purple Happy Rancher

Picked up an eighth of this from Bangs... Fantastic indica-leaning hybrid that doesn't leave you feeling couch locked, but rather comfy and cozy! If you want to drift into a nice sleep you could, but it doesn't overwhelm you into the kush coma that some indicas are known for. Wonderful fresh smell.. beautiful light green and dark purple buds with rust orange hairs that are tough to bust up.
Definitely one of my new favorite strains for sure!
