Starting January 1st, 2018, The Tree House Collective will be going recreational and medical! We are excited to be accepting medical patients age 18+ with a valid California Doctors recommendation along with their government issued I.D. as for recreational sales we will only require a valid government issued I.D. for ages 21+.
 
Effective January 1, 2018, a 15 percent excise tax and a local tax is imposed upon retail purchasers of all cannabis and cannabis products, including medicinal cannabis. As a retailer, we are required to collect the cannabis excise tax from our customers/patients . No cannabis and/or cannabis products may be sold unless the cannabis excise tax is paid by the purchasers (consumers) at the time of sale.

It's becoming very apparent to us that our industry isn't ready for legalization... Every since we became 100% legal by getting our CA Sales permit and had to start charging 8% sales tax our business has dropped dramatically month after month. Next year is only going to get worse when the state bumps it to 15% and then the cities each start adding their own 7-12% tax on top of that. All the illegal services not charging taxes are killing now but will likely get raided and shut down next year. We're calling it quits before all the drama really hits the fan next year. We don't think we can survive the new taxation and we're not going to become a black market business. When you ask any other delivery service about taxes, they will lie and tell you it's included in the price.... Ask to see a copy of their CA Sales permit and they won't have one to show you. Ours is posted in our photo section for everyone to see!
