We are in our 60's and have chronic health problems, have been using MMJ for about five years. Our first visit to Nirvana in May was a pretty good experience and had a great guy to help me find the meds I need. However, subsequent visits to Nirvana have been very disappointing. The music playing in the lobby is always way too loud and stuff I am not wanting to hear, especially as I suffer from never-ending chronic pain. I can't tolerate a lot of noise and confusion because of how I feel and being in this dispensary aggravated this problem immensely. The waiting room is too small for the crowds and you feel as if you have been packed into a sardine can. The neighborhood is creepy and the parking lot chaotic. I see very little people there who actually appear as if they need this medication, it seems to be mostly young males in search of a recreational high. There are very few older patients who will come here because the surroundings and people can be intimidating. I see that the people who work here are friendly and welcoming but I get the vibe that this dispensary is just a party place, that it is not dedicated to the medicinal side of medical marijuana at all. The budtenders have little to no knowledge of the proper use of MMJ for chronic conditions and you have to guide yourself on what to buy because they are not helpful in giving information on the various strains they have in stock. Which leads me to another gripe about this place...I will check online for the right strain that appeals to me, drive all the way over there and wait in the lobby just to find that they are out of the strain I so much want! Then I get offered some lackluster strain in the place of what I actually wanted to purchase and am never all that happy when I get home and try my purchase out. It is most annoying to get my mind set that I am going to be getting this great indica strain for my pain and then find that they no longer have what I want. I find the prices to be about average for the market. I can only recommend Nirvana of Prescott Valley with reservations....be prepared to go out of your comfort zone for quite awhile. And don't get your heart set on any particular strain because chances are, they won't have it and you will have to settle for some lesser quality product. Perhaps this dispensary will improve and become more PATIENT friendly, not recreational friendly...and they definitely need to attract the older market. We don't feel particularly welcomed or appreciated as patients/customers in this dispensary.

I have been going to this dispensary for years and am not overly thrilled with it. Mediocrity seems to be their way of working. They do not strive to be a great dispensary or to have great workers here. And forget about great budtenders...these are people who are just working a job for the pay and they could care less about what they are doing or who they are talking to. They don't care about truly being helpful because the know very little about MMJ or it's uses. The wait times are outrageous here, why do we have to sit and wait 45 minutes to an hour??? Why do you have such weird times to be open, can't you open at 9 am like other dispensaries? It is very INCONVENIENT to have to work around the times they are open. I go here because there are not many choices in the area, for good deals and great budtenders, you have to go to the valley or head up to Cottonwood and Sedona. I don't know why this dispensary is so blah and odd but it is. There is a lot of room for improvement!! Be more welcoming to your older patients! Be kind to those of us with severe health problems, we are here for medications, not for recreational usage!!! It seems that most of the "patients" who come here are young men who appear as if they are perfectly healthy with no issues at all. I have been here needing a heavy indica and they have had very little to choose from, with only one indica offered and it was not very good. Have a better selection and keep your stock up! Don't keep running out of things! I cannot truly recommend this dispensary and only come here because there is no other choice, except Nirvana, and that is more of a party dispensary than any I have ever seen.

We live in Prescott Valley and came over to Cottonwood this week to get some paint for our house. We stopped in at Harvest and were very pleasantly surprised at how friendly and congenial everyone was, even the security guard! No waiting as we have to do in Prescott and Prescott Valley...the wait in Prescott is about 45 min to 1 hour...way TOO LONG! It was very refreshing to come to a dispensary where I felt like I was truly a valued patient and where everyone was so NICE! My husband and I are 60 and both of us have chronic health issues....I have been in severe back pain for 23 years, the pain is constant. I find valued relief using the cannabis and do not like to be treated in a disrespectful or weird manner because of our age... We had an amazing budtender and I cannot remember his name but he was so knowledgeable and very nice. I loved the New Patient specials and came home with some wonderful eighths of medication. Since it was prepackaged, I worried about the cannabis being overly dry as it is at SWC Prescott (terribly dry meds all across the board there) but it was the perfect freshness...not too dry and not too uncured...just perfect! I told the budtender about my needs and the pain I have and he steered me towards the meds that will help the best. We were very happy with Harvest and plan to drive back over the mountain again soon! I would rather go to Harvest than the dispensaries around here. To us, it would be worth the trip to go to Harvest and purchase their meds. I hope that as we leave the New Patient status, that there will be some good sales. It is difficult to purchase for our needs at times because MMJ meds are all so expensive and we are on a fixed income. THANK YOU to Harvest and for all you do!!

My first visit here and it was a pleasant experience! Staffed by very polite and friendly guys who know their product, I was impressed with this dispensary. The prices are better than some of the other places. It was well worth the drive from the Prescott Valley area and plan to return. Thanks for your help and patience!
