I had never been to this store before tonight, and I will NEVER go back. It is clear that management does not give.a rat's butt about COVID19 or the mask mandate. While waiting to pick up my online order, on tape marks to keep us "socially distanced" by about 2-3 feet, not 6, I observed one staff member with no mask on whatsoever, another whose mask was hanging loosely covering the front of her mouth but nowhere near her nose and not fitted at the sides. The one staffer I actually spoke with was very pleasant; however, I heard this exchange: Customer wants to come in, says: "Sorry I don't have a mask on is it okay to come in?" Staffer: "Oh sure no problem! We the staff are required to wear masks but for customers it's optional. " Um, NOPE. Also, I was asked twice by the door staffer to move closer to the counter so that another customer could come in and stand behind me. I said I would, if the staffer on the other side of that counter would put a mask on. She did not and therefore I did not move closer. (I was already less than six feet away.) Two customers had no mask on at all, and two were tugging theirs down below their nose, since obviously staff don't care. There are NO plexiglass shields in place at the counter. I've been to several cannabis stores during COVID and they've all been impeccable in terms of complying with mandates and not allowing customers in without masks. This store is unsafe for staff and customers and an embarrassment to those in the industry who are glad to have been designated essential businesses and who have invested in safety precautions for their staff and customers - and who ensure compliance (staff and customers.) When it was finally my turn in line the staffer who waved me over was one whose mask was nowhere near her nose, so I turned to the greeter and told her since staff couldn't be bothered to do a simple thing like wear masks properly I was just going to take my money elsewhere, and they could put away my online order. And then I left, without the stuff I drove ten miles for, because you know what? So what if no one else has that one strain I wanted. I'm not giving the owner of this store one cent of my hard-earned money! This store is credentialed for recreation and *medical* - which means they are putting people with serious medical conditions at high risk of COVID19.. I sincerely hope those patients are shopping elsewhere. Even curbside service wouldn't be sufficient since staff aren't wearing masks and since they apparently interact with unmasked customers all day long, they would be higher risk to be carrying COVID19. Finally, this behavior is just infecting more people and causing this fricking quasi-shutdown to drag on, and on, and on. There are plenty of wonderful stores in Tacoma; no need for me ever to step outside city limits again; perhaps this is normal behavior out in the county and I'm just used to a higher level of GAF since I normally shop in town. Lesson learned - never going back here. I hope this review helps at least one person make a safer decision about where to shop. I will end by saying whatever positive I can: The greeter was cheerful and friendly (wrong about everything, but friendly); also, there were a couple of staffers on the other side of the store that I believe were wearing their masks properly. I'm not sure but let's give them the benefit of the doubt.
