This is the third dispensary closest to where I live in St Johns, so I saved it for the 3rd one I'd visit as a recreational user. Now I wish I had gone here first. The bud quality here was top-notch and the style of trimming was beautifully done. I really liked that they had smaller sample jars for examining the buds and then gave you your order prepackaged. At all the other dispensaries I've been to near here, every customer is looking at and smelling the jars that their order is pulled right out of. I was starting to think that would be the m.o. for all dispensaries but thankfully, the process at Portland Medicine Pot was much cleaner. I tried the Thin Mint G.S.C, Blue Dream, and the Sunset Sherbet. All the buds looked and smoked great and were properly dried. I'm excited to try more of their options. The clones that had on hand looked very healthy too. The receptionist that welcomed us was really nice-I loved seeing the first dollar photo on the wall and our budtender Lauren was super helpful about all our bud options and gave us a great rundown on our vaporizor options. It was a great first visit and I will be hitting this spot more than the others close by for sure!

I really enjoyed my first visit here. The waiting area is super nice and the art on the walls was killer. All the budtenders were really nice and they made it a very friendly atmosphere. Even the other customers were friendly. It had the feel of a real community. I went on a Sunday morning close to open time and it was a little busy, but the wait was very enjoyable and the laidback vibe was great!Prices were comparable to nearby dispensaries but most of the deals were only for medical patients.
