The phenotypes of the clones (Huggins garden, Pacific green growers, and West coast chronics) are trash. I have purchased many different strains from them and they all turn out the same. They look good but lack smell or taste. I have had one strain that completely blew me away and that was a BlackBerry Kush strain I purchased 6 years ago that must have slipped through the cracks lol. The BBK smelled and tasted like grape soda without even having to cure it for 3-4 weeks. And it started turning purple as soon as it budded. Everybody that tasted it was blown away. Fast forward to about 4mo ago. I purchased what I thought was the same Blackberry Kush plant. it wasn't even 10% of what I grew last time. Didn't taste, smell or grow like the last plant at all, it didn't even turn purple, same with a purple punch clone I purchased around the same time. The problem is that these nurseries are selling bunk clones to these dispensaries and they have no clue what they are getting because they trust these nurseries and there is no way to dispute what they are selling you because 1. They don't sell the flower from the clones on the shelf, 2. They don't provide you with any lab test to show THC and terp levels or genetics and 3. They only rely on customer pictures and feedback. A picture doesn't tell me how good it smells, or if it even smells at all, or how it tastes. These nurseries and farms are hoarding all the top-shelf strains and selling you the mid-grade phenotype clones. None of the clone strains they sell are being grown by any commercial growers from what I can find. I confronted them about this and they said they have no complaints. How would anybody know that Blackberry Kush is supposed to taste like the plant you sold me 6years ago and not whatever you sold me 4mo ago if you never sell it on your top shelf? They don't even sell the flower from the clones they are selling you. That should tell you something right there. I have grown bud since 98 and never, ever have I grown weed that looked good but had no taste or smell until recently. Don't waste your money if you are an experienced grower looking for top-shelf cuts. Your only option to find a gem is if you pheno hunt regular seeds. Its a shame because Oregon has always had fire clones and now the medical patient growing community is being flooded with mid-grade trash being passed off as top-shelf strains just to make a profit and if you wanna get the top shelf fire you have to buy the flower from them because they won't sell you a fire clone.
