The owners of this establishment are clearly in denial of the fact that their products are overpriced across the board.
$15 medical grams are simply ridiculous, I don't care how many cups you've won (as if every cup isn't rigged in some fashion) or how "chronic" your product is. This is Oregon. If you're going to brag about the fact that you grow a lot of the strains you sell, prices should be lower, not higher, because you have less overhead. Cannabis is an elastic product, which means when price goes up, demand goes down, and vice versa. I'm sure the books of this store reflect exactly that.
The sample jars were full of old, smelless, stale, crumbly product. I asked why, and the response I got was "we don't want to waste bud on samples because people touch the product". Wow. Just wow. Somewhat surreal to think that the ownership of this establishment doesn't believe in putting their best foot forward in order to sell product. What's the game plan when the price of cannabis drops from the current average of $1900 per lb to $1200 over the next year or two? $35 grams for patients?
I can't imagine this business will last long with it's current model. I live 4 blocks away, and I will not be going back.
