Hey. Veteran smoker. Almost daily for 25 years or so. That being said, I've really settled into particular strains for specific moods/times of the day. I've gone from being strictly sativa, to hybrids, to lately strictly indica. Having some time off work I've been smoking earlier in the day lately and want a sativa for that. Bought a Tweed's Houndstooth pre-rolled 1g for nearly 15$. Using my bong I smoked a 3rd of it. I was really happy with the clean high it gave. Definitely felt like a pure sativa. The comedown was subtle and it dissipated without any weight hanging over me. I started reading some reviews today and was really surprised by the amount of negative ones. All revolving around the texture, smell and taste. While describing generally an "adequate" high. I bought a 3.5 for 36$. SO... the smell.. musky, yes that's fair but not off-putting. When you dig a little, you get a nice tangy citrus undertone. I like that sharp smell and I loved the profile. The buds were understandably small but had enough loft and firmness without being too brittle. I never expect fresh ripe and soft herb from the sqdc but this one broke down w/ my fingers without turning to complete dust and it felt nicer than other strains purchased. It smoked great in my new bowl. Great strain. Hits you quick, but not too heavy. 18%thc. Good cerebral tingle with it trickling down into your body. Gotta say, it's a lot better than some of these reviews lead on to believe. I'd say it rivals a lot of classic sativa strains like super lemon haze, pure power plant and even gsc and blue dream. (is Houndstooth really a hybrid?) Kudos Tweed!

Normally I'm all over these hybrids but something about the Pink Cookie strain has me unsatisfied. 1st, it doesn't kick your ass. Even for a good quality strain it's relatively mild I find. 2nd, the 3rd or fourth bowl i hit has been sleepy af. I prefer a more acute stimulation of the mental senses. This one is a brilliant balance but it doesn't have a sharp central effect. More of a softer, dreamy state. Still an enjoyable smoke but it wont wow you.

I wrote a review last night but feel I should revise my thoughts... this strain I received is strong. Good right?! Well it's an extreme heady-high. Almost too much. I didn't find as much balance as I expected. Leafly describes the effects as cerebral stimulation. Pretty accurate but I found that said effect to be more debilitating than invigorating. I found myself locked in place after smoking.

The buds I bought weren't very typical to the BC BIG BUD strain. Hence my 4 stars rather than 5. I'm originally from Vancouver BC so I was stoked when I heard my guy had some. Unfortunately the visual aspect isn't as pleasing.... FORTUNATELY the smoke and effect is true to nature. Great strain to smoke any time of the day. Calming body effect, stimulating enough mentally that it provides a full experience... as opposed to say the Cinderella Dream I just purchased, another hybrid, albeit sativa dominant, but the balanced qualities just don't exist on the same level. Buy, enjoy - BC BIG BUD.

It's ok. I'm a fan of sativa dominant hybrids but this strain I have is a bit too heavy in the head. I like that it's so potent I only need a small amount to get blasted but the cerebral rush is a bit paralyzing.

Never heard of Durban Cheese prior to today. I'm a hybrid fan and advocate and this hybrid strain is beautiful. The buds are compact while still soft to touch and upon cutting them up, they release into soft and subtly sticky grounds. The pull from my bong's bowl was even and enjoyable and the taste was true to the Leafly description - Lemon and blue cheese, with what I'll add as earthy undertones. The high is stimulating, wakeful, balanced, and thought provoking. The hybrid qualities are amazing. You feel the indica trickle down your entire body while the sativa activates thought and attention. Hopefully your batch is as good as this one I am writing about. Enjoy.

Well... this... this one here. If you like an uplifting high, one that stimulates your cerebral state of mind as well as adding to a body effect that helps round off the back end of this experience, then PPP, or Triple P, or Pure Power Plant is the strain for you. It's buds are always beautifully green and pungent, and compressed in a way that allow for a large yield when breaking down. After heavy use throughout the day you'll find the high effect can become somewhat convoluted and although it's a sativa dominant hybrid strain, you'll eventually aim for that couch. Don't worry, this smoke is TERRIFIC for anything day time related and will help you stay wakeful and stimulated in the evening.

Great strain. I usually stick to sativa strains but had to take a batch of White Rhino. Well, as I was 'warned', this strain did not disappoint. Excellent cerebral and body high, great quality. Very balanced and relaxing, while still being stimulating and inspiring. Long lasting. Day time use is best at a moderate level. Maybe a little heavy for first time users so tread lightly.

Nice indica. I'm an avid Sativa dominant hybrid smoker and usually only stick with those strains. I needed a change and this one didn't disappoint. The buds aren't beautiful but they yield a nice amount and smoke very smooth with a soft understated flavor. The high is strong and really euphoric. A full cerebral and body effect experience without too intense of a relaxing feeling, that is until you've medicated multiple times in a number of hours. The high is of terrific quality and enjoyment. Tolerable during the day and brilliant at night. Might be a tar harsh for new smokers so go slow if that's you and work your way up. Great strain !

Seasoned smoker. I typically love and stick to Sativa dominant hybrids but switched to this strain and the change was great. Although still a bit heavy after multiple doses it's a great combination of heady and cerebral stimulation matched with a euphoric body effect. The buds break down really nicely and yield an encouraging amount. Understated aroma and flavor, smooth and very satisfying to smoke. Might be strong for new users. Great strain !
