I got an eighth from Cannabiotix. First of all, this flower has massive fresh out the jar appeal. Has the classic OG smells, but with more herbal spice than most OGs. Still has that classic pine, diesel slap OG fans know and love. Looks wise this flower is gorgeous. Light green nugs dripping w frosty trichomes. Lots orangy/res hairs shooting out too give it a strong visual. Flavor wise this is super smooth, definitely the smoothest OG I’ve had. There’s a good dose of piney lemon on the inhale that’s super fresh. It changes to some milder diesel on the exhale with a nice herbal/earthiness. Awesome finish that will surprise you. In terms of the high, I’d say it’s different than other OGs. Most OGs I’ve had give you that really buzzy, cerebral, almost energetic jolt before just becoming super heavy and sedating. The Red Eye OG doesn’t have that jolt factor. Instead, there’s a really calming, soothing quality, but there’s a lightness to it. However, not light as in weak, just a little more clarity than OGs I’m used to. Overall this is a great smoke I recommend and think it might even sway some non OG smokers to like it with its unique taste and slightly dialed back, yet still potent high. Worth the $$$!!!

I picked up an eighth of this by The Cure Company. A cannabis journalist I follow, Oystergirl, recommended it as one of the 3 best OG strains on the market. As soon as I crack the jar, that classic OG scent lunges out. It’s super piney, woodsy, earthy dankness that just smells great, thick and potent. Flavor wise it has that heavy diesel, pine, ammonia like stringency. It cuts really strong, but if you like those OG flavors (and I do) these notes jump out. Effects wise it’s a really cerebral buzz. Not focused, but really warm, tingly and buzzing with strong pull behind the eyelids and in the temples. After a few minutes my whole body also gets very tingly, blissful, and sedated. All my limbs kinda wave out and feel really floaty. This is a potent, psychedelic high w strong body buzz. I recommend!!!

I picked up an eighth of Curelato Runtz by The Cure Company for $40. In terms of the smell, it has a really sugary, candy, creamy scent with a little bit of vanilla. Smell is really unique, upbeat, and inviting. Nugs are a medium green w hints of purple and some deep orange. Lots of silvery trichomes coat the buds and make it very good looking. Flavor wise it has a creamy, almost pastry quality. Very pleasant taste wise and has a little gas on the exhale, but still a very smooth smoke. In terms of effects, the first rush is that tingly, bright, snappy head high characteristic of Runtz. After about 10 minutes it sinks nicely into a very good body buzz. Even my toes felt alive, and my whole body felt receptive and comfortable. I was listening to a show and just really tuned into the textures and layers of the music. Also, visually I found that this high really had a bright visual accent as well, and eventually I just sank into my couch, but wasn’t zonked out. Mentally I felt pretty alert and in tune, but body wise it gets really, but I love that deep indica feel. Definitely recommend!

The flower is a dense and fluffy light green w yellow tinges and white, cottony trichromes. Nose is vanilla flakiness up front and is followed by a light lemon scent. There is an odd burn to the flower. Lacks that sticky, buoyant burn and finished a bit harsh. Once you spark, there’s a citrus, chemical and diesel taste mostly chem-diesel. Effects wise there’s a pressing wave that I feel behind the eyes, but it’s not stupefying. I still feel balanced. In terms of the body feel, my whole body us buzzing. Still lucid enough to do things, but super comfy and mellowed out. One aspect I really like is it’s soothing and sedating without putting me right to sleep. Overall this is a good flower when it comes to the effects. I think experienced smokers will appreciate the unique look and feel of the flower plus the high is good. Bag appeal and flavor aren’t amazing, but if you can get past that you’ll be pleased.

The bud is light green with an almost grey, milky color. There’s also a bit of light orange color wise. Flower itself is vibrant, sticky, and smells like subdued Pine-Sol. Trichromes look nice on these nugs like a fluffy q tip that’s just a bit grayer than regular q tips. As far as the high goes, it’s super calming and mellow, but really nicely focused and clear too. For around 40 minutes, I feel like an emboldened chill buzz in my head upper body. Eventually, that warm buzz spreads to my legs and everything is super chill and pleasant. Love this strain!
