I've been going to Canna Daddy's for several months now. I've gone to most of the shops in NE Portland and I have to say they are hands-down the best shop in Portland. The Atmosphere When you walk in, they promptly greet you. If the place is busy (as it has been since legalization) you may have a small wait, but at least it's comfortable with places to sit. Medical patients are prioritized over recreational, which may upset/bother non-medical patients, but please remember... the medical patients have been around a long time and often we are in physical pain while we wait. So while I have sympathy for the recreational customers having to wait, I highly praise Canna Daddy's for ensuring medical patients can get in an out quickly. They do play music, but fortunately it isn't very loud. I've been to shops where you can't even talk to the staff because the music is so loud. Thankfully, these guys keep it at a manageable level. The Staff One thing I can't stress enough is how friendly and knowledgeable the staff are. I have met everyone there, including the new staff, and they repeatedly impress me with how much they know about cannibis properties (CBD, CBN, CBG, etc.) other than THC. Many customers mistakenly think THC is the only important component and the % THC is the only important number. Sad but true, but I digress. The staff is always attentive and friendly. They even spent 10 minutes figuring out how to print something out for me one day regarding the various properties of cannibis. The Selection I cannot overstate how amazing their selection is. They are in containers that are well labeled and protected from the elements. Looking for a Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid? It's clearly marked along with the % THC (for those of you who think that's all that's important). Not only do they have a mind-boggling selection of dry herb, but they have an amazing selection of edibles such as Blaze bars, cookies, truffles, sodas, fermented ginger and kombucha beverages, etc. Too many to list! For topicals I'm partial to the herbal cayenne THC salve (amazing for nerve pain), but they have many topicals including a spray on applicator for targeted pain relief. I'm also very impressed with their selection of dabs. They have a CBD dab that is 70% CBD's. Incredible. They also have ones with unimaginable levels of THC (60-80%). Their selection of BHO/CO2 vape cartridges are the best I've seen in any shop. There is literally something there for everyone. If you are looking for a friendly, professional, customer-oriented local shop, this is the one. I drive way out of my way to go there, even with shops just down the street from me.
