Bountiful Farms - Natick

Point your wagons to Natick folks. This is where I get my flower now. I’ve been to all the dispensaries in Greater Boston at least twice and probably 90% of the ones in Central & Western MA. Most of them never touch this level of quality, the few that can pull it off don’t do so consistently. Tried 4 strains - all 10s. Each one has its own unique aroma & flavor profile and produces an experience that’s easily discernible from the others. The nuggets are downright beautiful - perfectly structured, trimmed, & cured. People who cared clearly paid attention to them every step of the way from seed to jar. I for one appreciate that and will be back to try the rest! BF folks if ya read these: Even a modest price break on half & full ounces would be greatly appreciated and I think it’s a good business move. Everywhere else in MA does breaks, the people have come to expect them. You get more of my business regardless but I’ll be making larger purchases more often with a little incentive!

AYR Cannabis Dispensary - Needham

Pros: Sira’s concentrates are pretty solid, the bubble hash in particular - though pricey & not always available - is fantastic. I don’t take edibles often but when I do I reach for their indica fruit pucks. Everyone I’ve dealt with there has been friendly, professional & fun to chat with. Cons: The quality of Sira flower has taken a nosedive, I believe this happened early-to-mid-2020. Yes, their stuff tests very high in THC. But in every other aspect - smell & taste, bud structure, character of experience, etc. - it is sorely lacking. All the strains smell the same, most look the same too.

Pros: Having sampled all their typically-available strains I can tell ya with authority the flower at ACS is consistently excellent. Mix & match an ounce at random, you can't go wrong with any of it. Personally I'm a fan of their Mendo, ACDC-OMG, Black Raspberry, and (especially) Strawberry Fields which - and I swear this is true - smells and tastes exactly like a McDonald's strawberry milkshake. I'm not talking about a "hint" of flavor, for real it tastes like f&*kin' strawberries go see for yourself. Every budtender I've dealt with there seems to know their wares in & out. And of course they're friendly too. They don't have to be, with flower like that they could be total jerks and I'd still go back, but the friendly professional thing is a nice touch. Cons: It'd be cool if they switched up some of the house strains more often, maybe put out some small one-off batches. But then again everything they grow is amazing and there's plenty of variety so it doesn't really matter.

Theory Wellness - Bridgewater

Pros: -Theory-grown flower is in my opinion the best in Greater Boston. I’m a tough judge, I’ve never been disappointed with a flower purchase there (I’ve been there well over 50 times in the last year so my enthusiasm isn’t based on a small sample size - Theory grown flower is bomb). I also love the unique strains they get. -Super nice & helpful people. Cons: -I get that it’s a small batch place and in the interest of giving everyone a taste sometimes they have to limit ya to a 1/4 or even an 8th. That wouldn’t be a problem for me if I could then mix & match - I’d grab a couple quarters / slices of their flower and a half of wholesale stuff. It’s not so much the money, it’s the travel time - I live quite far away, I’m not spending 2 hours in my car on Saturday for an 8th or 2. ^ FYI Theory folk if you’re reading this several of my buddies (who are also the sort of customer you *really* want) feel the same way. Keep the limits on small batches but let us combo up so it’s worth the trip! And also maybe grow some slightly larger batches? Maybe? You can still call it micro, nobody’s gonna check.
