Violator Kush

Appearance: super dense. Oh boy, these large nugs are super coated in trichomes. It's a good army green colour, not to many pistils can been seen as they are engraved into the bud itself. The scent: Very earthy. Pepper spice, hint of citrus and wood tones. Pungent but pleasant. The smoke: first impressions is that it's smooth. No cough reflex. A faint linger of berry taste occurs. Heavy smoke fills the air. No burn in the chest, slight tickle of the throat, make sure you have some fluids around. Gives you a dry mouth. Head high comes in a nice subtle way. Def can feel like eyes welting up. Makes you calm, relaxed quickly, but I also feel lethargic; I'll consider this a night-time strain. You'll settle into some giggles and your mind will wander but don't worry, not much paranoia from this strain. Barely hyperlinking or multi-tasking here. Infact that's right when a wave of sleepiness hits your eyelids. You'll be a little lightheaded, but in a good place. Munchies set in late into the high, which is good if you like a little couch lock for a while, but you can power through it. Anxiety is null, would highly recommend this strain if you suffer from insomnia. The end result is you KO'ing into a deep snooze. Should be a favorite of all indica and kush exclusive smokers. Would smoke again.

Tokyo Smoke - Go

1/23/2019
Soft pine notes on the initial scent. The nugs are tightly wound and compact. Really dense. A nice mixture of dark and light green leaf and a slight dusting of trichomes. OCS packaging is a little confusing. THC 4.24% but right next to it says Total THC 20.0% The smoke is smooth and slightly sweet. A tad light smoke, but flavorful. Easy to smoke, not too much burn in the chest or throat. The high takes about 5+ mins. Starts with the cerebral. A good general buzz going. Your eyes will feel like a gentle pressure is relaxing over them. Definitely an energetic, perky strain. Good for hyperlinking or chilling to some music. Could be used (and should be) as a pretty decent day-strain. Minor body buzz, but the head buzz stays with you, real good for headaches or sensitivity to light. Very little in terms of anxiousness and i've found that this particular strain doesn't have me with dry mouth at all. I guess thats a testament to how smooth it is. You'll feel upbeat and happy mid to end of the toke. Works similar to easing you from your overthinking and kinda erases all needless complications from your life. Really surprised about this strain. There hasn't been a lot of information on it, so I hope this helps. Could improve though. I feel that once the high sets in, it almost felt like there was more of the strain to give, but it never comes. It's cause of that fleeting feeling, I've given it a 4 stars out of 5.

First impressions: Whoa, coated trichomes, almost frosty. Kinda what you wanna see when you buy an indica. The scent is nice, sweet, mellow and with a hint of pine. The nugs are tight, no flakes, hardly any shake at the bottom of the barrel. The pistils are hidden amongst the nugs and in the spots where you can find them, they are coated in trichomes, masking their copperish colouring. The scent isn't as strong as a Hindu Kush, but it lingers in the nostrils when you waft, Expect a light green to almost neon colour with your bud, The blaze: You get a nice dose of pine with the inhale along with mint. The smoke is light heavy; that is to say, light on the smoke plume out, heavy feeling in the lungs in. Expect the first buzz feeling in your body. Wherever you are sore, may it be chronic or just day to day wear-and-tear, you'll notice a good relaxation with this strain. It bring a soothing mental calm over you, somewhat reassurance, something you don't always get from an indica right off the first tokes. Intermediate to toking, you'll def feel a nice body warmth with a tad tingling. It's def a body over mind high. Don't expect to do much. You might have a few sparks of spontaneously wants and ideas, but they are quickly second choices to the next thought, until you just stop. Not too much on the appetite side of things. I've gotten a snacky vibe from it, but nothing like wanting to eat a full meal. Keep a box of triscuits next to you. Final thoughts: it's up there. For a "cheap" price (approx $10 a g) it's got potency (without the downsizes of dry eyes, dry mouth, paranoia or anxiety) My strain was tested at 16.7%, but it feels a little more than that. I would like more of a head buzz with what it offers in terms of the body buzz. It's like a 20%(Headbuzz)-80%(bodybuzz) when I've blazed. But if getting calm and being relaxed and de-stressing, then I would highly recommend this strain. It's secondary positive notes is that it's good for insomnia, panic attacks and in general, a superb relaxing. Likely would buy again, esp at price point, the consistency is above par.

White Widow

Bought a HQ off the OCS website. 18.8%THC First impressions: The scent isn't as dank as I thought. Light on the nose, earthy and slight pine. 4 large nugs, not tightly wound, but still dense. Thick flakes at the bottom as a result from shifting in transport. At first, the bud itself is looks like it isn't dusted in trichomes, but under a bright light you can see it is dusted like fine powder all over. The pistils are a solid dark copper colour which are tightly wound in and out of the bud. The blaze: Smooth. No cough reflex, the high starts with the head. You might get a little giggly or even find mundane things funny. But suddenly your thoughts wane to another thought and idea. I feel like the focus flows like a leaf down a stream. And that's when you notice the body tingles which really helps if you have inflammation or tense muscles. At this point your body feels like warm butter, the indica side starts to kick in. Now you wanna feel more comfortable than you are now, so you head to the couch, where you'll lock yourself in. If you have snacks around, this is likely where you'll eat em cause a slight hunger buzz happens. You can fight through it, nothing intense, but all will power goes out the door if snacks are around. Now sit back and relax to netflicks, cause after a few shows, you're going to bed in a real good mellow.

Decided to change it up...and boy...I wish I didn't. Got this strain of the OCS website. It was under indica, but clearly it's a 60/40 hybrid and it shows in the smoke. The bud is typical of hybrids, numerous nugs tightly bound together. A smell is there but isn't pungent. The smoke is light. And I mean light. According to the website their THC level for this product is between 13 - 20%, why my product says approx 8% is beyond me. The high never gets to the full level obviously. It's more mellow and doesn't induce anything similar to an indica dominate strain. No body buzz and don't expect the munchies either. Looking forward to sleep? forget about it, this strain barely dings you. If anything, it's a daytime strain, able not to hold you down, but also able to get you 50% of where you wanna be.

Solar Power

Got this strain off the OCS as my first purchase. Upon delivery, lots of shake at the bottom from transport. Very pungent scent, hint of citrus. Smokes like a hybrid. You get the sweet mellow sativa high, a tad of the energetic and then a wave of Indica hits the body. Suddenly you wanna reach for snacks. The Indica side isn’t that strong, so I wouldn’t recommend this for insomniacs. You might get a little couch lock, but you can easily fight that. This strain is mainly for depression and stress. Chronic pain goers may want something stronger and for insomniacs a pure Indica would be a much better fit. I will say that the initial hits are potent but doesn’t last long. Trails off and lingers but it’s soft overall, more of something you’d smoke to before going out rather than staying in and hyperlinkiny endlessly on Wikipedia. Oh and a slight paranoia factor which you can easily fight through but nothing that would induce a panic attack.

Strawberry Cheesecake

First impressions: It's definitely a soft sweet mild candy smell. I didn't get cheese, but its potent. You can see it on the plant, but when you really get into the heart, the pistils are actually a nice purple/redish hue, adding a nice visual quality you don't see everyday. The bud itself is packed tightly and had this almost incredible hulk green look to it; kinda surreal The smoke: It's smooth. Coughing induces a slight fruity taste, but nothing lasting. You get an all over body buzz. I remember working out my back earlier in the day and by the time I smoked this, the areas where I had worked out, there was tingling as if I was getting a massage. There is a cerebral buzz, but not as hazy as some indica's can be. I find this strain can induce a giggle fit here if you're watching the right things. Beware! If you have munchies around, they will be gone by the time you've smoked. Increase in appetite is a thing. Very little paranoia or anxiety once the smokes sets in. Very relaxing for the body, you might get a short creative/loose thought moments, but it fades away quicky as you couch lock and slowly get comfortable to daze away. Could put you to sleep, but I would recommend this strain more for body aches, stress and in general, a good time for relaxing.

Alien OG

1/23/2018
When I first got Alien OG I was shocked by how well it was coated with trichomes. It was densely packed and had a very earthy smell to it, pungent enough to pass through the zip lock seal. Has a good taste to it; the hybrid flower hits sativa first. You get the head buzz, a little light headed but definitely a consistent cerebral buss. Some giggles but it aims towards the creative side of your brain. You'll be wikipedia'ing everything. Eventually without notice the body relaxes and the indica takes over. If you got munchies around, they will be gone by the time your done with the smoke. Any chronic pain you have will be non existent and you do swell into a stressfree zone, however... The high doesn't last long, so you can actually power through this strain if need be. I wouldn't recommend it people who have insomnia, only because after the 3rd or 4th time blazing, you'll notice that it doesn't have the ability to put you right out. Also, wouldn't recommend if you're an anxious person. Throughout the half quarter I smoked in a week, each and every time the paranoia crept up on me mid way through the smoke session. Always thought I heard the door open or felt like someone was watching me. Again you can power through that if need be, but it defeated the purpose of relaxing and being stress free. It's a good starter strain, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again.

Fire OG

2/15/2016
I recently switched from OG Kush to Fire OG by chance. When I got it, the pungent scent instantly hit me. The nuggets are dense, with a sugar coating of trichomes coating the orange veins like a thin blanket. I usually mix it with some shisha, giving me a longer burn (about 30mins to 45 mins of smoking) and an more intense head high. Firstly, It's a total body high. I have a little joint pain, but that goes all out the window after a few tokes. My extremities become all relaxed and smooth. Then comes the happiness and relaxed stage. The cerebral high I attribute to the hookah, but equality strong. You put on some family guy and hear jokes that you totally missed before. But the real magic waits for you at bed time. The high stays there for a while. Longer than most strains, meaning even after I've smoked, I'm still on cloud nine. Having suffered from insomnia I picked this strain up hoping it could get me a good nights sleep. I can tell you now after a week of smoking that this strain will effectively knock you right out. It like puts you into stasis. You remember your dreams, you don't want to move from your bed, you can sense and feel the movie that's playing in front of you, coursing through you brain, but you're safe and relaxed. I gotta find the right portion to mix ratio, because I've noticed that if I smoke too much of this strain at night, the affects in the morning have me a little groggy. Also I've noticed it gives you a heavy dry mouth, to the point when you wake up, your throat may be a tad tender. Nothing a glass of water near the bed can't cure. Def not for the inexperienced smoker, but certainly a try if you need a good nights rest.
