A comfortable place to get flower, edibles, etc. Probably not a place your average stoner hipster millennial would love, but for the rest us this place is a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work GCR.

Very new to all things cannabis & have been checking out dispensaries all over the city trying to cut my teeth in this new world. I have chronic illness & from this perspective have been evaluating stores based on the following: -Do they have high CBD strains, close to 1:1 strains, and THC dominant strains geared towards pain. And is the flower/product actually helpful & good quality. -Are staff knowledgeable about illnesses that medical patients use strains/products for. -Is the location/security/atmosphere good enough for me to be comfortable. -Would I be able to take my mother here if she ever wanted to try cannabis. Calyxes not only meets my standards listed above but exceeds them with staff that are anything but intimidating. These folks have been so kind yet professional. They want to know you & help you if you're someone who appreciates that. I've been here 4 times and without a doubt Calyxes is the best I've been too. Though I may go to other places for $$ deals to make my medicine, Calyxes is the place I like best. They even have recipes!

We went to take advantage of some Blue Dream on sale & were happily surprised with how clean the store is. The staff we're especially enjoyable too & the gentleman who helped us was knowledgeable, curious, and accommodating. Their security here is great which is good because the location is sketchy by Portland standards. Though I'm pretty new to canna-world I could actually tell the bud was a little less quality when we looked at it at home. For example the Sour Tsunami at PO had 7% less CBD than the flower at a place in SE. Some of the flower was stemmy & over dried looking in comparison to the same strain at the SE place. Perhaps "you get what you pay for" rings true when it comes to flower. Anyway since we bought strains to make a tincture, I guess it's ok that our flower wasn't the best. Regardless we'd go back.

Really enjoyable & compliments CBD strains perfectly. It's great for still being functional but relaxed. The happy relaxation lasts long after the buzz wears off. Good for people who don't want to be too stoned when they're stoned or used more medicinally.

This is my 1st shop review so here goes... I really like Parlour. I'm very new to the cannabis world & am a medical vs. recreational user. In exploring various shops in SW Portland and beyond I've found Parlour (been here twice now) to be the most comfortable place to visit. For newbies like me some places have been...well...janky. Other places seem to be full of kids who know very little about the medicinal side of things but this place has some staff who are patients themselves and can give great feedback. They don't give advice but share what others have tried & they do it in a non-hustling sort of way. I very much like that they wear aprons as this gives the place an overall professional atmosphere without being snooty. They also make effort to get products of higher quality like Mindful Organics. If you're new or renewing your cannabis experience I highly recommend this place. Staff are courteous & I think medical & recreational customers would enjoy coming here.
