Sunnyside Medical Cannabis Dispensary Pittsburgh – Penn Ave

I’ve always had pretty decent experiences here. Most of the staff are friendly. There’s usually a pretty decent selection. And prices are on par with the other dispensaries...but they don’t seem to have as many sales as other dispensaries. And the parking is a nightmare compared to other dispensaries I’ve visited...but I suppose that is to be expected in the strip. Unfortunately, the parking discourages me from usually going to this dispensary but if I’m in the area anyway I’ll stop in. I LOVE that they offer the online ordering. Unfortunately, the one time I placed an online order there was an issue...but I understand these things sometime happen.

I’ve always had pretty pleasant experiences here. The parking is great! The ladies at the front desk are always very nice! I’m usually in and out pretty quick. Prices and selection are amazing!!! Budtenders are always pretty friendly...I’ve never been waited on by the same person twice so I can’t say I’ve gotten to know any of them very well like I have at some of the other dispensaries and they seem a little less chatty here...but that’s probably way there’s never a long wait. I’d like to see them (and all the other dispensaries) add online ordering like CY has done...its nice to just place my order online then pick it up in store. But otherwise, I don’t think there’s much room for improvement here!

Solevo Wellness - Pittsburgh

I’ve been going to Solevo pretty much since day one. THE GOOD: The ppl at the front desk and the security guards are always very pleasant...as are most of the budtenders. Although, there are a couple I don’t care for. Erin is awesome though! I really enjoy being waited on by her but I usually do fast track and I don’t get her very often. I also like that I can bring guests into the waiting area with me instead of making them wait in the car. I live in the south hills so I usually make it a point to stop in at solevo when I’m in the area already anyway which means I sometimes have my husband or someone in the car with me. So, it’s nice that they can wait inside. They also have a 30 day return policy in comparison to most which have a 24 hour return policy...but I’ll address their return policy further in “the bad”. THE BAD: Solevo has the smallest selection of any of the dispensaries I’ve visited. Also, the prices usually aren’t that great. Although sometimes they have an item or 2 I like on sale so I’ll stop in. BUT...god forbid you get a defective item!!! They treat you like dirt if you try to return anything! I’ve received several bad cartridges that either didn’t work or that leaked back when solevo first opened. I returned a couple of them but eventually quit bothering because they’d make me feel guilty...as if I was doing something to cause them to leak. Meanwhile EVERYONE ELSE was having the same problem! Eventually they redesigned them and usually the cartridges are all pretty good now...occasionally though you still get a bad one. I purchased a vape/battery combo a couple months back and the threads on either the cartridge or the battery were messed up because the cart wouldn’t attach to the battery. Then last week, I bought a bunch of stuff during the anniversary sale and the one disposable pen didn’t work and the gio battery/cart I purchased was messed up and I couldn’t get the pod to detach from the cartridge. I drove all the way back to solevo the next day to exchange the items and I was basically treated like I was trying to get one over on them by Rocco the manager. I was asked to hit the pen to prove it wasn’t working then I kinda felt like he was implying that I must have smoked it all...but I have a stockpile of products and I don’t need to cheat solevo out of an $18 sale item! Believe me...if I was gonna smoke up a product and try to get a refund, it wouldn’t be an item that cost $18! I drove an hour to solevo to return it...then another hour back home. My time and gas is worth a lot more than $18! Needless to say, I’m not happy with how I was made to feel...not just this time but every time I’ve had an issue. I’ve always gone in with a smile DESPITE having to drive all the way to return items that SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE...but I understand that these things happen especially in the beginning when the growers were still working out the kinks. SO THE LEAST SOLEVO CAN DO IS TO BE UNDERSTANDING OF MY SITUATION IN RETURN! A simple “hey im really sorry...let’s see what we can do to fix this” would go a LONG way! Instead...I always got a sigh, an eye roll and a head shake! In the beginning, solevo was the only dispensary in town so I HAD to put up with that treatment. BUT NOW THAT I HAVE OPTIONS? No thanks...I’ll only go to solevo if and when I absolutely have to...

Maitri Medicinals - Pittsburgh

The staff were incredibly courteous and informative. The free parking is convenient. And I was in and out rather quickly even on my first visit. On both visits I’ve made so far, the security guard who first greeted me was very polite and explained exactly where to go. And the front desk staff very also very welcoming! I had a short wait (maybe a few minutes) before meeting my budtender. Hannah was my budtender on my first visit and she was great! She took the time to give me a tour and suggested some strains that may be helpful for my particular condition. And when I told her about a product I purchased at a different dispensary that I really liked, she offered to request it from the manufacturer. Then 2 days later, she called me to say that they received the item! The following day, I went to Maitri for my second visit and was waited on by an equally polite and courteous budtender. While paying for my items, Hannah came over to say “hi” and seemed just as excited as I was that I was about the get the product I wanted! She and the rest of the staff made me feel welcome and right at home from the day one! I will definitely be going back!
