Ice Cream Mintz

Granted, I have a high tolerance at this point, but I was surprised that this strain is described as a heavy indica. Although it's a 70% indica leaning hybrid & has a higher than average THC content, the effects are more cerebral rather than in my body & I feel alert & calm rather than stoned, sleepy, & sedated. This is the only strain I've tried so far that actually improves my mood: I've been experiencing extremely intense depression lately & this put me in the first good mood I've been in for weeks. I didn't feel giggly or stupid- It made me feel NORMAL. I feel comfortable enough with this strain to go about my chores, socialize, get work done, etc. without being couch locked or my brain feeling like goo. I should keep this stocked!

Gelato

I already love Sunset Sherbet, so I wasn't surprised that Gelato was a homerun for me too. I like this as a recreational strain: At home, its tingly effects make it ideal for Sexy Times or unwinding. In social situations, it makes me relaxed and giggly. I tried using it for pain- in my case, I get really debilitating period cramps sometimes- and unfortunately it didn't help at all. I find that myrcene-dominant strains tend to be better for me when I need a pain reliever. But overall I would definitely recommend this for recreational use. I went back to the dispensary and bought more right away!

Green Crack

I mostly vape indica-leaning hybrids, both for recreation and for pain, so I was surprised to finally land on a sativa I really enjoyed. This has become my go-to daytime strain and would be great if you are a wake-and-bake type person. It's as good as a cup of coffee- It gives me a boost of energy, focus, and an uplifted mood without making me feel or appear impaired. I do not experience the time loss others are reporting: It's mostly just a "Get Shit Done Without Fuss" kind of strain.

Blue Cheese

This has rapidly become one of my favorite strains, and I would not want to be without it. I was motivated to try it after finding that another strain with the parent plant UK Cheese REALLY helped my chronic pain. Sure enough, this also did the trick. I have a pretty decent tolerance, but just one vape hit of this is enough to provide pain relief with a heavy helping of relaxation. In higher doses, it provides a lovely, warm, tingly body high and sedative effects that make me feel like I'm floating on a cloud. This is literally everything I like in an indica- For me, it beats out other popular Heavy Hitter indicas like Granddaddy Purple and Hardcore OG. As such, I can't imagine reaching for this during the day time. But it's great for when you can just hunker down in bed, whatever you might be doing there. The chronic pain I mentioned is menstrual related- probably endometriosis or a similar pain-causing condition. So, if your uterus fucking hates you, give this strain a shot.

Lemon Stilton

This blend of Exodus Cheese and Jack the Ripper is a 50/50 sativa/indica hybrid I tried on a whim, and found very useful for managing pain. I'm one of those unfortunate people who gets menstrual cramps so bad, regular OTC pain meds don't help. I lose at least a whole day to bed rest and agonizing pain, and this strain REALLY helped. In fact, it's the only strain I've tried so far that has helped. I'm guessing the pain-killing effects are coming from Cheese, so I will be looking for other strains that are similar or have Cheese as a parent plant. Because it's a hyrbid, it addressed the pain without giving me too much of an indica-type body high (which sometimes makes me more AWARE of my pain), and without making me feel impaired. I have a higher tolerance, so I might even try this as a daytime weed.

SFV OG

Flabbergasted by the overwhelmingly good reviews. Both this site and the dispensary recommended this for daytime pain relief that doesn't come with a powerful high: Unfortunately all I got was not a very powerful high. I have dysmenorrhea so painful that OTC pain meds don't help, and this strain didn't even make a dent in it. I just felt high on top of the cramps. It was a very boring high, as well. No dreamy effects, body buzz, help with energy or focus, or lifted mood. This just wasn't for me. I think there are way better hybrids out there.

GSC

The indica effects of this strain are the most dominant for me. It's not like other hybrids that keep my mind racing for hours. This is the strain I reach for when I want something to put me to sleep. No adverse effects noted.

Sherbert

One of my current go-to strains that I always keep on hand. It helps relax both my mind and my body, but keeps me alert enough to focus on an activity like watching TV or reading. Very unlike its parent, GSC, which relaxes me so much it makes me fall asleep. A great down time strain. While it provides a nice body buzz, I didn't find this helpful as a pain reliever.

Lemon Stilton Sauce Cartridge 0.5g

This blend of Exodus Cheese and Jack the Ripper is a 50/50 sativa/indica hybrid I tried on a whim, and found very useful for managing pain. I'm one of those unfortunate people who gets menstrual cramps so bad, regular OTC pain meds don't help and I lose at least a whole day a month to bed rest, and this strain really helped. It addressed the pain without giving me too much of an indica-type body high (which sometimes makes me more AWARE of my pain), and without making me feel impaired. I took quite a few hits of this last night, and while it kept the pain at bay, I never felt particularly stoned. I seem to have built up a pretty decent tolerance, so I might even try this as a daytime weed. The only downside to this strain is that I really don't like the smell- It's said to smell like lemon cheesecake. I definitely get the lemon taste, but in terms of the smell, it's pretty stinky. Small price to pay for lasting pain relief!
