Cannabis Provisions East - Wenatchee

TL;DR: Great people, great selection. If you go into CP, expect it to take a while. Not because they suck, but because you'll be hanging out with their awesome staff and won't want to leave. _____________ First off, let me say to locals looking to use Cannabis Provisions as your main store, but have always thought it looked small and maybe didn't have a ton of selection - completely disregard that thought. CP has a huge selection of recreational flower strains as well as some high-CBD flower strains, oil cartridges, edibles, tinctures, wax/shatter/oils, etc. that is well organized and curated by their budtenders and the owner. They have consistent sales and discounts throughout the week, an in-house points/rewards system if you so choose, and various discounts such as the veteran's discount (I know a few of us vets shop there). The staff it CP is always helpful, though occasionally it can suddenly get very busy and it can be a few minutes to speak to a budtender and pay as they only have two registers. Not often, just sometimes. At this point I'm on a first name basis with most of them (Who says cannabis messes with memory!?!?), and while everyone has been knowledgeable, some have better knowledge in certain areas. For instance, one staff member is highly technical with cannabis pharmacology, another is an expert in waxes, oils, shatters, and another is a strain geek, so we talk about that a lot. - Like most other Washington dispensaries, CP takes cash only, but has an ATM in house that charges $2. - There are only a few parking spots (3?) in front, on Miller Street, so go around back for easier access. - They do *not* sell cannabis accessories (pipes, lighters, etc.) at this location and often refer people right next door to Smoke n' Go which has a solid, if pricy, selection of all the things you'll need. (My personal recommendation would be Evergreen Smoke Shop. Better selection, better prices.)

Cinex

Ah, Cinex, my love. This and Durban Poison are my two absolute favorite strains of all time (as of yet). Cinex specifically, however, is simply my favorite. It's absolutely amazing mood lifting ability is almost matched by its clear headed focus and energy (without being over the top). If Durban Poison is a cup of espresso (which I generally agree with) right off the bat, Cinex is like morning coffee in the sun. Focus, clarity, reassurance. Calm, awake, happy. ...And relaxed at the same time without being tired at all. What an amazing plant, and what a great strain from that plant. I have also tried one of Cinex's parent strains, Cinderella 99, which was recommended me by a local budtender as they were out of Cinex. It was nowhere close. So if you've tried Cinderella 99, Cinex is different, better. Not sure about Vortex, Cinex's other parent, but I'd say it's a possibility. Last note: I have had Cinex in whole flower, oil concentrate cartridge for vape pen, and I have smoked and vaporized it in a Davinci IQ conduction vape. DaVinci is my favorite version. Clean hit, clear head, etc. Smoking offers similar results to vaping in my opinion. The oil cartridge vape pen, however, was...well, less than stellar. I mean, it'd get you feeling it, but it was not a complex or nuanced high like whole flower and it wore off very quickly (about an hour to hour and a half). Overall the oil cartridge felt like driving the Ford Taurus of weed: Nothing was explicitly wrong with it per se. It was basically ok and would work in most situations for most people. But if you've got any taste, style, or self esteem, you're definitely driving something else. Yep. Oil cartridge was the Ford Taurus of weed. That about sums that part up. But don't fear. If you get a Cinex concentrate vape pen cartridge it will be uplifting and sporty just like Cinex, but it lacks potency and feeling in my opinion. That said, it's still better than most other strains in oil vape pen cartridges.

CBD Rich Blessing

RBL is one of my favorite high-CBD strains. I've tried AC/DC, Cannatonic, Sour Tsunami, Suzy Q, and a few other high-CBD strains, and I love the effects from the RBL. By itself, the effects are light, supportive, calming, and focusing. Not a hint of laziness anywhere for me with this strain. My head clears, I'm upbeat and energetic, but relaxed at the same time. The strain I've got has 1% or less THC, and it's barely noticeable at the edges of perception, but it's a nice blend. Of my few favorite strains, this is one. It is consistently in my cupboard right next to the other strains I'm careful not to run out of. Highly recommended medical strain, but hard to find. One place in my somewhat small area so far has it, but I'm attempting to find more places or possibly buy a seed/grow a RBL plant this summer.

Durban Poison

DP is tied for first with Cinex as my favorite cannabis strain, bar none. I am generally a sativa, daytime, for motivation, concentration, energy type of guy when it comes to cannabis, and DP definitely helps with all of those things every time I use it. I also deal with severe depression issues in the winter and this winter, after seeking medical advice, I began to use cannabis as a medicine with the hope that it would help lessen the depression. It has. Whole flower, DP and Cinex, along with healthy habits (e.g. diet, exercise, etc. which I do normally, but especially in the winter) have really lessened the pain of my depression. Durban Poison for me is great for doing homework (I'm finishing another degree this winter), having energy that is also relaxing at the same time, and having the ability to focus and be present. The feeling can be very cerebral and uplifting, but usually isn't too intense for me (though depending on the strength one gets, it could) because no matter how much I have, it's usually still pretty clear headed even if it's strong as well. Huh, weird. Cannabis for doing homework. Learn something new every day. I cannot recommend this strain enough for what I've listed above. Great strain, definitely helped heal me.

GSC

Honestly, I'm usually a sativa/indica guy because they generally seem to have pretty consistent results with my body. I branched out last week and decided to try some hybrids that come highly recommended on Leafly and GSC was one. Overall, the the impression was that it was kind of one dimensional. I didn't feel bad...or good...or too relaxed...or creative. I just kind of felt "high" and like "OK, well, it's cannabis" but there weren't a lot of defining qualities about the overall experience.

DAVINCI IQ - Black

3/12/2018
TL;DR: Vape works great functionally. Not sure about the overall quality though, and the warranty process was a nightmare. This is my first and only vape, ordered originally in January 2018. It's now mid-March, and over the last 60 days, it has been at DaVinci for 32 of those (34 if you count from when I shipped it to them) with their warranty department. A few weeks after owning the IQ it started acting odd: battery never showed fully charged, started running out quickly, etc. Over a week or so the problem finally escalated to the thing not even staying on, the battery not charging, when it was plugged in it wouldn't even stay on, etc. Toast. Their customer service response time is amazing and they are very responsive. But it took them five days longer than their 14 business day warranty repair to even get it back in the mail. Now I'm wondering whether this was a good investment. 10 year warranty? That's awesome! A month to fix and get it back to me every time it breaks? Ugh.
