Been there before to shop and it was nothing special. Went today to pick up a donation and was treated with such a gross lack of common courtesy, much less sensitivity, by staff that I will never go there again. Staffer told me that I didn't have the correct documentation to pick up the donation but that the manager would help me. Instead of calling me over to her window, they both had me standing there for no reason. When I asked why other customers were being served by her before she helped me, I was told that I had an attitude but that the manager would finally help me if I waited again at the window where she had positioned herself (instead of helping me in the first place when she first came out from the back room and was informed regarding the situation by her employee). When I went to her window, she was supposedly assisting me and I was explaining the situation when out of nowhere she decided that I had "an attitude" -- she had heard me complain about being made to wait unnecessarily and heard her employee say that I had an attitude and seemed to be just waiting for an opportunity to hurl the same accusation -- and refused to give me the donation, which is only available there. No apologies from either one for misinforming me, making me wait for no reason, and switching up the procedures from the last time without warning, just refusing me service and sending me home without it after I made my way there after work on the bus in the rain and wind to get there just before the deadline. Worst of all, she told me that she is the manager, so that is the example and the training that she is providing to the staff. Competence and common courtesy -- never mind sensitivity and a little humanity -- are sorely lacking these days, even in small stores like this one.
