Medusa

1/16/2018
In Greek mythology, one look at Medusa's eyes and you're turned to stone! Say what? And that's where the similarity ends, because this Medusa is no monster. On the contrary, she's lovely. You'll feel the super stone all right!---but you won't be frozen in time and space. And this Medusa, though not at all subtle, will be your friend. Suddenly I'm beginning to sound like Mr. Rogers. Aroma and taste: Not an OMG, but pleasant enough. She is an even hybrid, say the experts; I found her to be definitely sativa. You can easily have a very productive day if you so choose, and it will be tempered all the way through with a warm feeling of smooth sailing. Sail on, earthlings, and let's make a better world.

Blue Dream

11/29/2017
Blue dream demands respect. It isn't subtle, but it isn't rude. It moves in like a sudden huge bear (a lovable one). Its potency means it isn't a choice for a first-timer. Physical effects: This Sativa-dominant strain behaves more like an Indica in that there's no desire to get up and dance. But there's no beckoning couch or bed, and that's where the Sativa comes in; you're wide awake and nicely so even into extra innings, yet with no other Sativa presence. And at bedtime you'll sleep! Mental effects: Most of the Budd Sisters have a wide range of mental experiences from emotion to reasoning and much more. But Blue Dream's gifts to the mind are a sense of being a) self-assured and b) unencumbered. It's rather serious and isn't super-creative. It feels calm and very much in the moment. The feeling is non-attachment, like one gets so beautifully from mantra meditation. All in all, a giant bear hug without many add-ons and no room for nuance. Though it lacks amenities (that I personally like) it is a very positive experience and no wonder it's so popular. ~ Cheers, Earthlings!

Oregon Diesel

11/26/2017
The bud's scent: mostly fruity but mixed with some green Cannaroma. The taste of the hitskis: very nice (not fruity, interestingly), and smooth. The effects: only positive. This weed won't glue you to the couch; the ratio of this indica dominant hybrid feels like about 60% Indica to 40% Sativa. There is enough Sativa to keep you moving, but you'll be doing your thing serenely, and without even a hint of any edge. Focus: amazingly clear which is a rarity for me with cannabis. Could be a little stonier, but I'm splitting trichomes. It may not be a strain to present to the Cannagods and Cannagoddesses, but they sure wouldn't turn it down.

White Widow

11/22/2017
No wonder White Widow is one of the most popular strains. It's a sativa-dominant hybrid, but it has a mostly balanced effect. It gives the consumer an excellent array of qualities and is very efficient in doing so! It is energetic without being speedy; stony without an edge; and while its effects are somewhat more sativa oriented, there is a nice amount of indica feel as well. It is a major league player: It isn't quite Willie Mays, Hank Aaron or Babe Ruth (like the Diesel Cannabis Family), but it will still wow the fans!

Amnesia

11/6/2017
I'm more of an Indica fan but I enjoy Sativas and Sativa hybrids often, and I thought I would be favorable to Amnesia. I love the name, man---now what were we just talking about? This strain is a very stony experience. The high is not meant to deal in subtleties. It will kick your butt---an effect I usually like---and it will do so very soon after it is imbibed. Just know that this strain has an edge. Its long-lasting "sativa-only-effects-allowed" are a bit wearing. I was really surprised at my out-of-sorts reaction. Not anxiety, but that persistent edginess. A heavy caffeine-like reaction. I have never experienced that in all the years Mary Jane and I have been bud-ease. Its aroma was fairly inviting but its taste was downright rude. Many people love Amnesia, like my friend who I ended up trading it to in exchange for White Widow, which is a really pleasant experience with a great taste and aroma. I'm glad my friend likes the Amnesia, and I'm glad to be rid of it.

Cheese Quake

1/9/2017
Cheese Quake is one of the finest cannabis experiences I have ever had. Absolutely lovely in every way. Aroma and Taste: like a heavenly fruit punch. But it doesn't punch you; it just wafts into your brain like an adagio of a cello sonata. The experience: I always prefer such a potent stone as this, yet its potency is wrapped in a warm dreamy cloud so that if you generally don't like your cannabis to be too potent, in this case you won't mind. In fact I predict you'll love it! Creativity: Yes, yes, and yes! There's enough sativa to prevent merging with the sofa; I was on a smooth move and groove, and at other times I was at rest. This herb is so fine. It puts one in touch with a vital gentle living energy within the heart. It subtly reminds us of that most caring part of ourselves. I love it! There is no "the best" any more, with all these wonderful medicines. But Cheese Quake is right up there with the best. Five Stars and Five Galaxies. Peace, Ganjaphiles!

Dirty Girl

Very stony. An escalator ride from a second-to-first floor in a crowded grocery store was a trip: just seeing all those stoned people (uh, no...that was me...I had to tone it down!) in that too-well-lit-store! I was too-well-lit myself, and realized it at that moment. Excellent relief of back strain. Aroma and Taste: Very earthy, maybe a medicinal lemony suggestion, but all in all, taste and aroma not very impressive. Effects: This is a sativa-dominant hybrid but behaved like the combo that it is, and leaning toward indica. Once I got home from the store I was pretty much superglued to reclining surfaces, but I wasn't sleepy. Fairly focused. Mentally like a sativa; physically similar to an indica. Cheers, Ganjaphiles!

Thai

Focused. Clear. You can do whatever you do and actually get into it with this sativa. Intensity level of THC: also four stars, and it stays with you and if anything increases for a while. Fruity aroma and a pleasant taste, though milder than I expected. A nice nostalgic strain that really stood out (with a few others) decades ago, and now is one of thrillions of fine ganjas. Thrillions.

White Rhino

Nice pleasant high. Kicked back mostly; likely it's indica dominant. Put me on a nice slow road to unfailingly refreshing sleep. Taste was a little better than fair. Too much one night: 4 or 5 hits at 2 AM right before bed---I hallucinated wide awake for thirty minutes: rapid firing interesting faces of all races, thousands of faces, each lasting about 1/2 second. I wished they were slower, but I LOVED the experience! I fell soundly asleep shortly after the hallucinatory experience ended (which I wanted to last a little longer!). Fascinating experience! Those great visuals are mostly why I gave it 5 stars---it was that fun!
