Mimosa

12/4/2021
I purchased this strain from Cali-Kosher in Empire, CA, near Modesto, CA. Labelled as an in-house brand, $5 for a 1-gram pre-roll. It's a cold day here today, so this provides some warming in my experience. The only small drawback is a proclivity toward having a dry mouth and dry eyes, so have a drink and eye drops handy if possible, but if not don't worry because it's not overwhelming. It holds a citrus aroma before and after you inhale, but if you exhale through your mouth and then your nose, you can experience a set of layered flavor profiles and aromas that reveal the depth of the strain. For those of you who want to continue: Mimosa's attributes aren't surprising at all, given her lineage and origins. Briefly, she's parented by Clementine & Purple Punch. Clementine comes from Lemon Skunk & Tangie; Tangie's origins stretch back through Cali-O and Skunk #1; Skunk #1 is where the key to Mimosa's goodness is shown because it comes from Afghani (a heavily-Indica-dominant landrace known for it's relaxing yet cerebral highs), Acapulco Gold (a heavily-Sativa-dominant landrace known for it's potency and strength) and Columbian Gold (also a high-potency Sativa-dominant, landrace strain remarkable because it is uplifting, energetic, and provides potency without anxiety or paranoia). On the other side, Mimosa's origins are just as dank: Purple Punch, which originates in GDP and Larry OG is very strong. GDP combines Mendo Purps, a Skunk strain, and Afghani. Larry OG has a very rich, high-THC history because it not only has SFV-OG and OGK for parents, OGK comes from the awesome combination of an unknown strain from Northern California with Hindu Kush, Chemdawg and Lemon Thai. Chemdawg is one of the highest-rated strains for potency, and Lemon Thai is only once removed from a pure Sativa and an unknown Hawaiian strain. These background characteristics give Mimosa a good amalgamation of a lot of strains that the cannabis world has to offer. It's a good show bud, by that I mean it's a good one with which to impress connoisseurs about both a particular strain, as well as the cross-section of flavors, aromas, terpenes and flavonoids that characterize the industry as a whole right now. LOL I hope this review helps someone, someplace LOL Good day!

Garlic

1 gram pre-roll from pHenos, Modesto, CA, $15. Specs: Odor & Flavor-- Sweet, pungent, and fruity, but a certain spicy earthiness to it at the end near the back of the pallette. Presentation--Very green with a ton of white hair, the bud seems to have broken down well for this application. Effect--Immediately I feel relaxed more than I did prior. I can feel it in my eyeballs getting heavier right now. Holding it longer will increase this effect. Burns evenly and with white ashes. Good job! 4 stars!

Lava Cake

A very relaxing and tasty strain that alleviates all kinds of stressors and assists with sleeplessness or anxiety. It's a bit heavy on the effects side, specifically if you're a newbie or have a low tolerance or have just recently began smoking after a hiatus. Recommend this strain from CRU Cannabis.

Banjo

Distinct peppery and earthy flavor. It holds an herbal, fruity scent when in the bag; becomes cheesy and dank when burning. Ashes burned clean. Hardball nugs with a bright green color with a very high crystal content.

I can get everything in this image minus the sticker, plus more, for about $10. So.....decent idea, bad execution. Give us something worth it!

Kosher Kush

4/9/2019
The Legend itself, Kosher Kush is that OG Kush you wish you had; the Kush you remember knocking you down or garnering all the homies' compliments. Undoubtedly Kosher is the strongest strain of all the widely-available strains. It seems like the reviews otherwise are unanimous, but for me, it creates euphoria, kills pain, and smashes anxiety. If you're unable to sleep, or you need to relax, Kosher will deliver you right into it as you need. This strain is very much medicine. Obadiah

Tangie

4/9/2019
Tangie is a great strain! For me, its iconic. Good for pain, Fibromyalgia, anxiety, and stress. She has the distinct aroma of a pungent, cheesy, fruity, and dank Sativa. I grew a couple Tangie's last year that ended up being quite potent, sitting around 19% or so average. I ended up with a lot, as she yielded well, over 50 grams per plant. (Small grow, outdoors on a patio). Tangie tends to creep up a bit on the user, but it has great treatment capacity for things like pain, anxiety, and stress. Even though she holds a fairly high THC content, shes not one to make you paranoid, so don't avoid her if this concerns you.

Blue Z

Solid strain. Tastes good, has good cerebral effect, though less than the hype had me believing, expecting. Still, definately worth the $20/8th, so there are no complaints from me on this strain, nor the dispensary.

I utilized a water bong for this review. Aroma is very pungent, with diesel overpowering any skunkiness I might have a hint of. The texture feels a lot like Jack Herer or J1, for those that remember. Upon initial toke, the flavor is diesel, then sweet, then earthy. Burns nicely in the bowl. It feels like it wants to be harsh at first, but it eases off, making for a smooth toke. I'm not much of a cougher, so when weed does make me cough I know its a good strain. There's a lingering fresh, floral scent/taste in the back of my throat after waiting around for a bit after a second toke. Overall, good smoke, good taste, great aroma, and great looks. 4.5/5 so 4 stars.

CONNECT 408 — Chem Reserve

When I ordered it, it looked exactly like it was supposed to. I've never smoked Canndescent bud, but I'm glad to have found it. Immediately the quality of this strain became apparent. Its look was frosty, purple, and shimmering. She's certainly a beauty! The odor hit me hard when I unleashed its package. The smell is hard to describe, but its definitely fruity, sweet, light, and citrusy with an endnote of blueberry perhaps. Whole nugs are solid, but still maleable. The texture is what really got me on this strain. Like I said, strong structure, very well manicured buds of good consistent size. When ground up, she became a different creature altogether: the stink really kicked up and became dank, musky, and fruity. When I rolled it, it basically rolled itself. I put it in a paper and it formed up very very nicely into a great J. I don't usually like joints or blunts these days, but I have extensive experience with them both, and this spliff was top notch, easy to roll, and burned evenly as can be. Feel free to grind her up to your hearts content as she maintains some structure even after strong grinding in metal. I can't give her a perfect 5 because I have never given a strain a 5, and can't until it is truly near-perfect. I'm usually an Indica man--I like to get locked up lol--but this energetic Sativa has me shopping! She's worth the time and effort, however I feel the price was a little steep. After delivery fees and taxes it cost me $65.87 for an 8th. I realize how pricey this is and need you all to recognize I paid this for review purposes only. I would pay 40 for her, but not 60. On the street, one could walk away with that same 8th for 30. This is why no 5th star. Enjoy this strain with a coffee or after dinner on a warm summer night when you've got that project you need to finish in the backyard. Cheers!
