Local edibles melt in your mouth
At Harbor Hemp we have shied away from marijuana edibles only for the fact that previous experiences with medical marijuana edibles (and we are talking many years ago), had a wide range of affects and there seemed to be little consistency in products. But with time it seems that in both the recreational and medical marijuana industry, producers of edible marijuana products have fine-tuned their process’ and are providing a better consistent overall experience. With that being said Harbor Hemp has sampled a local recreational marijuana edible and has found it delightful.
In this review Harbor Hemp looks at the product Swifts, a chocolate truffle produced in the Willapa Harbor Marijuana Arena.
Swifts is the edible line from local producer/processor Green Labs LLC. The product was purchased at Growers Outlet recreational marijuana retail store, another Willapa Harbor Marijuana Arena player in the cannabis industry.
Being hesitant to even try the edible, Harbor Hemp read the entire package prior to eating the milk chocolate delight and decided to try half of the 10mg indica truffle. As directed on the package, it took a while to feel the full effects of the marijuana induced confection. The initial taste was spot on what you would think any chocolate truffle would taste like, nothing but a pure delicious milk chocolate covered ganache. As far as a truffle, Swifts Truffles could be sold as a standalone sweet and probably do very well as an everyday sweet snack offering without the THC infusion.
After about 30 minutes one can start to feel a wave of what is “extra” in this tiny truffle. It was not overwhelming, but even at half you can feel what the truffle is all about. Waiting for an hour, Harbor Hemp took the remainder of the milk truffle and moved from the clouds into a very creative mood. You could feel the influence of the Swift Truffle for more than three hours, and the overall experience was a nice smooth innovative expansion of time. We at Harbor Hemp were pleasantly surprised that this test on the Swift edible turned out to be a delightful experience, leaving one able to perform any manner of activities without worry. Green Labs LLC has now converted tried and true flower smokers into one who can see the additional benefits of an edible as far as convenience, portability, flavor and experience one could have with marijuana. The packaging also is quite innovative in its presentation standing out on any retail marijuana rack.
Swifts Truffles, we should have bought a few more, and will be heading back to the store to try other edibles from the Swifts product line. Nice job Green Labs.
