Medication Destination

1/5/2016
I am an OMMP patient and popped into Medication Destination (MD, cute, right? Like a doctor! :D ) last week after a less than positive experience at another dispensary. I've been having some problems with consistent quality on my flower, so I've started working my way around Springfield and Eugene. So far, my favorites are TJs, and Eugene O.G. I will be adding MD to this list as well. I purchased several products, and received a single gram free as a new patient. I must say that I'm impressed by the budtender who assisted me. I didn't catch her name, but she had a fantastic customer approach, and really made you feel like she was listening to what you were saying. All three of her suggestions were spot on. I have a particularly high tolerance, so flower doesn't do a ton to get me high, but it does "medicate" me. I found that all three of the strains I left with (Pineapple, Cinex, and T-4) gave me the desired effects of an uplifted mood, lessening my anxiety, and lessening my pain all while allowing me to go about my day with ease. The only con that I can come up with, though, and it did result in a 4 star rating on atmosphere, was the appearance of the store itself. From a consumer's perspective they were a little difficult to find simply because they didn't stand out in some way. Their current signage makes it appear as though this is a temporary location, or maybe even just seasonal. They are located in a strip mall, and I looked right past them several times because the store-front looked closed or vacant. A good look told me otherwise, though. Upon walking in I didn't find the smell of MJ very overwhelming like it has been in some locations and there's some shelving set up with various sundries to purchase, which is nice, but there's also a lot of unused, and empty, space. This sparseness carries through to the room you enter to actually view the products and make your purchase. I feel that this really colors the overall vibe of the dispensary and leads one to make assumptions about the quality of the product and service you'll receive. It was enough that I almost turned around and left. I'm very glad I didn't, though! I am in love the flower that I brought home, and I am ecstatic about the service I got. I had a couple questions that had I asked elsewhere would have been met with a certain level of superiority and derision, and they weren't! This is the kind of service I am more than happy to pay, and tip, for. I can very much see myself becoming a regular because of the service, the quality, and the prices (which are great)! ~ Koneko

Dirty Girl

This started out a fantastic trip but ended up being, well, not so fantastic. It smoked smooth out of the preroll, and hit incredibly fast. Very quickly, though, I went from happy and chatty to stuck in my own head having to remind myself that the thoughts I was having were MJ induced. I was incredibly paranoid, and really, really trapped inside my mind. The high lasted for well over 4 hours, and that wasn't even after having smoked the whole joint (between two of us we smoked maybe half a gram). I'm not a lightweight, and my smoking partner isn't either. Both of us were paranoid and anxious, disconnected, and disjointed. I was so badly off that I couldn't even walk. This stuff kicked my butt. I'd be curious to try it again, knowing what to possibly expect (sometimes it's just not a good day to be stoned), but I just don't know on that one. I've talked to other people who have tried this strain and get the same response... even from people who work at the dispensary that I purchased it from. I tend to smoke Indicas and Indica heavy hybrids, but I'm not a complete stranger to Sativas. So, it could just be that this was too much for me. Never know until you try again! I will, just not right away.
