I recently had an unpleasant experience at a dispensary. I had been a regular customer and had never encountered such hostility before. I was simply trying to ensure that the medication I had seen advertised was sold as advertised. However, the budtender seemed to harbor a deep level of animosity towards me. I strongly believe that this was due to the color of my skin, as she seemed to have a problem with selling the product to a person of color. She even threatened to refuse to sell the product to me. I was shocked and disappointed - I had only asked her to do her job and verify the advertising.
Throughout the sale, the budtender kept arguing with me and being very rude and disrespectful. I knew that this kind of behavior would eventually ruin the dispensary's reputation. In fact, I was grateful when the manager finally agreed to sell me the advertised product. However, I still believe that the budtender needs to re-read the chalkboard in front of the lobby and assist customers with their needs, not give her political opinions. I understand that everyone is entitled to their own views, but not when it interferes with their job.
In conclusion, I would like to thank the owner for agreeing to sell me the product. However, I urge them to make sure their staff leaves their personal opinions out of the sales and focus on assisting customers, not arguing with them. A budtender shouldn't be a budarguer.
