Memory Loss

8/23/2016
I picked up this strain on August 8, 2016 from Shango Hillsboro. It definitely lives up to its name. Memory Loss (19.35% THC) – • The first sniff reminded me of breaded fish fillets sprayed with a slice of lemon. Although not brittle, it was dry to the touch. • The buzz begins just behind the eyes and slowly radiates throughout the brain. My normally happy being is not adversely affected and may be heightened. For me this flower resulted in more mental wandering than mental focus, although I did experience the sativa energy. So you will want to do things, it just might take a while to make a decision and get moving. Unless you are an organized individual, it may be difficult to keep track of your stuff and your day.

Raskal OG

I picked up this strain on August 8, 2016 from Shango Hillsboro. Wow! Rascal OG (19.30% THC) – • This flower has a fresh piney woodsy smell with lemon citrus undertones. The first inhale reinforces the freshness with its piney chlorophyll taste. The buds are not extremely tight but are so fresh that the stems are difficult to break when removing a nugget for the bowl. The nuggets are very sticky; in fact, they are so sticky that I experienced a small flare during a pipe draw which I attribute to the igniting of a particularly loaded area on the nug. • This is a very good, evenly balanced hybrid. For me, the head high left me thoughtful and talkative with the ability to focus and stay fairly focused. It did result in some mild munchies, so I suggest you have plenty of nutritious munchies available. • This is an excellent 1-hit cannabis due to its sticky resin-laden nuggets.

Natural Wonders

Hell’s OG (29.97%THC, 2.29% CBD) • During my 11-mile wander from Goose Hollow to East Portland on Sunday, August 21, I stopped by Natural Wonders, a great neighborhood cannabis shop. During my conversation with the wonderful budtender Namatin, I noticed a new flower (at least new to me) and decided to try it. Hell’s OG was grown by Deschutes Growery and is reported to be a cross between Lucifer OG (by way of Hell’s Angel OG) and The White. • There is very little odor from these compact, tightly bundled nuggets. The heavy indica smoke slows my body down almost immediately, with a two-hit buzz lasting well into the second hour. For the evening, a bowl of Hell’s OG convinced my mind and body that it is time sleep. This is, indeed, one of the more powerful Indica strains I have ever tried. Thank you Namatin for suggesting this strain.
