My new fave. Really relaxed, friendly vibe (which you'd think would be the default for cannabis dispensaries, but isn't). They said they're renovating, but please keep the colorful chalk menus! Love it. Very homey, the budtenders are kind, helpful, and not remotely hipster-ish, and the product is fantastic. Shout out to their high CBD Harle-Tsu, which provides pain relief on par with oxy. I love their house blend pre-rolls, too. Also a shout out to the red headed dude and the lady who reminds me of Kate McKinnon. Their ATM is free, btw. I will be a new regular here!
I LOVE this. I have heard about CW for a long time, but it only recently became available in the dispensaries I go to. I have an extremely low tolerance to weed, and I mean extreme. I use cannabis every day and I remain super-sensitive. Depending on the strain, I can smoke 1-2 hits maximum, and with potent strains, even 1 hit is enough to get me way too high. With edibles, 5mg can get me scary messed up for 12 hours.
For that reason, and because I seek anxiety and pain relief from cannabis, I love Charlotte's Web. The stuff I got has 1.2% THC, and 22.2% CBD. Over 20 minutes, I took 6 hits from a joint, which as I've said, is way more than I can usually handle. I did get high, but in a mild, pleasant way. A body buzz, plus the leg pain melted away, my irritability was gone, and I keep grinning and feel happy. But other than some fogginess, I'm not experiencing a cerebral high. It's just a good feeling. I love it.
I highly recommend this strain for anything CBDs help with--from a plain old feel-good, listen to music space out session, to migraines, seizures, etc. Also recommended for people with low tolerance, or who don't like psychedelic effects from weed. I think you could use a small enough amount to manage the symptoms in question without feeling too buzzed to be at work, too.
I can't speak to the effects of smoking, because I made butter with it and baked brownies. I probably ate about 7mg worth (low tolerance), and it was fine. Nothing to sing about. It didn't feel like a sativa dominant at all. I was very lazy and I'm about to go to bed early, after trying to stay awake for a couple hours. It gave me major munchies, the tiniest bit of paranoia, and a ditzy, apathetic feeling. It didn't do what I like in a sativa dominant, which is a combination of body buzz/pain relief and energy/euphoria. I am gonna give these brownies away. Shame, because I put Nutella in them. :/
I have like, NO tolerance, no matter what, and I don't enjoy being very high in the giggly, trippy way sativa dominants can do. I got this strain for pain relief, in a CO2 cartridge (concentrate). Usually I can only handle one puff from a vape pen, but I took three or four puffs of this without feeling any head high. Instead, I felt an enormous body buzz, a significant reduction in pain, and a feeling of relaxation. Turns out, after about 20 puffs, I'm damn high, but it's a calm, silly feeling, which I don't mind. But I've been sticking to 2-3 puffs on this since then, because that's enough to reduce my pain and relax me without causing any cerebral effects. I love the soothing body feel. Big fan.
You must climb a large flight of stairs to access this dispensary, and why the owners thought this was a good location for a MEDICAL cannabis dispensary beats me. The products are in a display case very low to the ground, so you have to squat or crouch to see most of them. Again, sick patients don't need that. Items have tiny labels or no labels at all. The staff guys were heavily stoned and really nice, but were not at all helpful in clarifying what strains were in the tiny CO2 cartridges on the bottom shelf. Worst of all, I came in for a specific, hard-to-find product on their Leafly menu, and it wasn't there. The guy behind the counter laughed and admitted they put things on the menu they didn't have. NOT cool. Despite the staff being very friendly, I don't recommend this place.
I waited at least 20 minutes to go back. Other places I wait no more than 1-5 minutes. It was grungy, dim and disorganized. The guy who helped me, Jack, kept calling me "sweetheart" and talking to me like I was stupid. I came in with a specific list of what I wanted and he interrupted me many times and bullshitted me into buying other, overpriced shit. He thought I didn't notice that he doubled the price on the pipe I bought too. He talked over me, was sleazy and really sexist and even silenced me with his hand at one point. I asked him if the $14/g strain he was selling me had "happy effects" and he started telling me that weed can't change your life and make you happy. Listen, dudebro. I have an Ivy League degree in neuropsychology and I promise you I know more about the science of happiness than you. I was asking about effects of the freaking product you sell. He didn't listen to one thing I said about what I was seeking and he told me to stop taking prescription medications. I am pissed that I spent this much money on such a sleazy salesman and I have no intentions of ever going back. This is the worst of the billion dispensaries in town.
Awesome new decor after the renovations. A dispensary lobby that has both a tree and a lizard in it is ALWAYS going to be my first choice. The staff is amazing, the selection is bananas (especially edibles!), and I think they really care about how they can help weed help you.
This place is a great new find. The two staff people there were incredibly friendly and helpful. I went in with the difficult task of finding a strain that relieves pain while energizing me, and I left with 2. The one I tried last night, Blue Dream, was perfection. The prices were fantastic, too. I'm definitely going to return.
I really love how spaced out and happy this makes me. I'm fairly new to Sativa but so far I prefer green candy to this one. I do enjoy it though. I believe it worsens my migraines.
