JARS Cannabis - Metro Center (Med/Rec)

All Hail King Kevin
First, before I continue this critique, you should know this is a terrific dispensary despite staff turnover, the product is excellent, the prices are possibly the lowest around, and the staff is always friendly. And if you keep reading, I promise you will get to the part about Kevin. Otherwise, just know he is way cool.
I have been going to this location for a long time. Some might call it the trifecta. I have gone when it was called 1. Horizon, 2. Metro Meds and now (that it has gone corporate sigh đ˘.) 3. Jars Cannabis. The dispensary is close and as far as I have seen it has the best products and prices of all the dispensaries in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
In the past, the rate of staff turnover was very low. I loved that I was able to get to know the people behind the counter. They knew my needs. It was Zack that helped me to ween my self from morphine with wax. It was Olivia who knew the strength I needed and always turned me on to the best deals. So many people, Ray, Cody, Kai, Robin, Katie, Caroline, Nick, Sean who turned me on to Dr. Bakerâs Relief products. (Now if they start to carry Tommy Chongâs nano CBD products true pain relief will be stronger and cheaper. letâs face Tommy Chong is one of the ultimate authorities.)
As a quick aside, I help but notice the obvious by-product âgoing corporateâ; when dividends are at stake staff turnover is high. That is a historical fact.
I think we forgot that these so-called bud-tenders are really patient advocates. Those are two different roles. Bartender/ Bud-tenders serve the goods. Patient advocates are familiar with product strength and effect having sampled them personally. A patient advocate has a basic understanding of the reasons patients use medical marijuana; cancer, MS, depression, and pain to name a few.
AND that is why it was so good to see KEVIN yesterday. He is one of the few people that is a real patient advocate and he has stayed at the location for a long time. The gentleman who assisted me was charming, but it was Kevin who made my last visit possible. And that is the wonderful thing about having happy employees who stay at their gigs.
I will certainly keep going to the dispensary and I will certainly keep recommending it. It was just nice in the old days to be able to say, "Check out this dispensary and ask for blah blah". I have some staffing suggestions, and as soon as I can reach KEVIN or someone else in a position to make recommendations to management, I will tell them what they are.
