Fire OG

10/25/2019
Fire OG definitely feels like a sativa, regardless of whatever people say. I found myself constantly pacing for the first couple of hours. It definitely helped me loosen up physically with my muscles and movement. My body tends to get stiff after long periods of inactivity (sleeping / sitting). This is a great strain for those who like to exercise. I would suggest using this as a midday strain or to take this about 2-3 hours before bedtime. I always feel energetic for the first 2 hours, followed by the urge to lay down and watch TV. That's the interesting part though: It doesn't necessarily make you sleepy, it just makes you want to relax for about an hour after that initial 2 hour high. It has a smooth peppery taste. –– Makell Bird from Maktown TV on YouTube @makellbird @maktowntv on IG and twitter.

Trainwreck

Unfortunately, I have to give this strain two thumbs down. I didn't feel a damn thing after smoking this. I'm hoping that this is an isolated incident and I got a bad batch from my local dispensary –– Canopi on Blue Diamond Rd., here in Las Vegas Nevada –– I have ran into this situation with certain strains though. Perhaps these stains have no 'chemistry' with MY body chemistry. Louis the XIII and Head Cheese are some other strains that don't really do anything for me and I've smoked these strains multiple times from multiple growers/sellers. I did think it was odd that the bud was very dry straight out the package and the THC% level was only 9%. Oh well, better luck next time.

Chocolope

Stage 1: Stoned, Stone faced, Numb Skull –– This strain comes in like a little creeper. It took about 10 minutes to kick in. I smoked it from some King size and regular size Elements pre-rolls. The first stage involves your entire head feeling numb. It's a very 'heady' strain but not necessarily cerebral, as you would feel after smoking a more pure sativa like Panama Red. Stage 2: The active phase. I was talking (to myself) a lot and pacing around my condo like a madman. It's (sort of) like the same feeling you'd get from a cup of coffee only less coherent. Stage 3: The munchies. I ended up making myself a huge breakfast about 30 minutes after smoking this. Stage 4: The giggling stage, right before you fall asleep. This stage made me happy with this strain because this "effect" is exactly what I'm looking for. The euphoric "everything's funny" stage. I had a great time watching videos on YouTube with funny dialog. The smell and taste is pretty faint. It had the faint citrus smell. It did get a little harsher as I got further and further down the pre-roll. It also had a very faint, smooth, chocolate smell and taste. Overall I'd say this is a good strain to pick up. I picked this strain up from Canopi and it was $220 + tax for an ounce.

This got me a little dazed and confused. It's very heady and can give you a 'frozen arms' syndrome, making it hard to type. It's not necessarilly interstellar but it's up there. The one I bought was 20% THC.

CANOPI - Blue Diamond

10/4/2017
The thing I like best about this place is they grow some of their own stuff! If you look at the label on the package and it says "Supplied by: CW NEV CULT" then that means it was grown and packaged by their parent company Charlotte's Web Nevada Cultivation, based in Pahrump. NV. Because of this, they have the CHEAPEST prices on an OUNCE of Shake and Popcorn Nugs. I bought an ounce of Sour Diesel Popcorn Nugs for $75 and an Ounce of Blueberry Diesel shake/trim for $80. It was listed as $105 on their menu but there was some confusion (on my part) about what they were offering, was it a shake version AND a (higher priced) bud version? So, they only had the shake/trim version and so they gave me a huge discount on this! The staff has always been patient and helpful as I have a lot of questions (mostly curiosity). Also, I LOVE the fact that their product was sun grown and YES it SUPPOSE to be better. I noticed other reviews from people complaining about the fact it was sun grown, but sun grown is the more natural/organic way to grow it! Cons: They almost NEVER have the exact strains I'm looking for –– except for Sour Diesel, which was the greatest come up I've ever made at a dispensary! –– Sometimes, it's hit or miss with what the 'helper' knows. Some employees there know more about the products than others. Another interesting note about this place is that they seem to be the CREATORS of the CBD strains that are being talked about all over the internet! Charlotte's Web and Avidekel!

Cookies and Cream

My wife wanted to try this strain because she just liked the name of it. I'm not sold so easily. We got an 1/8th from the Canopi dispensary on Blue Diamond Rd. and Rainbow in SW Las Vegas, Nevada for $58 + 25% state tax. Pros: It definitely produced a lot of vapor. I use a (Desktop) hot box vaporizer. Big plumes of white smoke. There were a lot of trichomes on it. Cons: I don't actually know if this is a pro or con. It really depends on the person BUT there was literally no taste to it at all. It's the first strain I ever had that had no flavor of it's own. So, don't let the name fool you –– I didn't because I know better. Most of these strains have funny names as a selling point. I go based on how a strain makes me feel overall. I could care less about the name. So, on the pro side you won't have that w33d smell in your nose or on your clothes all day. On the con side, if you like having a distinct taste, as it adds to your smoking/vaping experience, then this isn't going to be good for you. –– Another con maybe that Cookies and Cream isn't anything to write home about. I never got super high. It was more of a solid steady mellow high. A good 4 hours I could definitely feel it so that's good but (again) nothing to write home about.

This was surprisingly good under the circumstances. I got the 'baker's batch' from my local dispensary. The 1 oz glass jar was the trim/shake but you could tell that the tri-combs were baked right in as you could smell it and it got me pretty high. I'd give it a 7.5 to 8 (out of 10) on the high scale. A very smooth strain. Worth the purchase as I got the glass jar ounce for only $125. This is a good strain to pass amongst friends. The 'baker's batch' jar I got was from Pahrump Nevada.

Head Cheese

This one was honestly a disappointment. It was listed at my dispensary as 29.9% THC and had the hefty premium (higher than top shelf) $35 for an 1/8 price tag. It was the strongest sativa listed and I expected more but all I got was the same feeling from smoking 'mid'. This strain makes me weary of buying sativas. I guess I'll have to stick to the 'confusing' hybrids or the sleepy indicas. On the plus side, if you're looking for a 'daytime' high where it doesn't bake you then go for it. Maybe this should be a trainer w33d.

Sour Diesel

Sour Diesel is definitely one of my favorite and most memorable strains. It can be harsh on the throat at times. I've smoked it out of an aluminum toker and a hot box (desktop) vaporizer and it still made me cough so be careful. It is definitely a more euphoric high although I've had better in that aspect. I think the 'feeling' I'm looking for the most with strains these days is euphoric, energetic, and happy (laughing, giggly). Those are my favorite. I can only compare this strain by telling you what it's better than and what's it's not as good as. It's BETTER than Bubba Kush and Head Cheese. It's comparable to Blue Dream in terms of strength (although Blue Dream is more so on the indica side). It's not as good as Afgoo (Afghani Goo) or Jack Frost. With all that being said, this strain is currently in my top 10 at least.

Cinderella 99

This was one of the most interesting strains I've ever had. It gives you the feeling like it's a super heavy indica. And I mean heavy like you want to pass out... and yet you stay up the whole time so it puts you into a walking dream state. I usually use a hotbox vaporizer, also referred to as easyvape digital or a desktop vaporizer so I didn't get the harshness... just make sure you use a medical hose and not a latex hose. When it's fresh, this doesn't burn too well in a joint. You'd have to let it completely dry out and turn brown first before you can smoke it from a joint. Definitely a strain worth trying if you're just staying at home and want to trip out. You'll see why they call it "Cinderella"... my dispensary referred to it as Cinderella OG though.
