What a cool experience! My better half and I came from the other side of the country to visit friends and just had to get the 'recreational experience' before flying home. We tried to just walk in (oops! Check in at the window, folks!) but we were greeted by a smile and a 'First time in?' smirk from a nice blonde woman who popped her head out from the window. After checking in and getting a card for 10% off (for being the first time in if I re-call?) we were in (and the only ones)! We weren't sure what to expect but it was well beyond any negative connotations we perceived. Everything was so clean, well-lit and the lay out was so easy to browse. The blonde woman from the desk met us around the other side of the counters and asked if we were looking for anything specific. We just wanted to get acclimated first and she told us if we wanted to look at anything closer or had any questions to just holler. Well, it didn't take us long to have questions and soon we were rattling off every question we could think of and firing them at the poor woman. This was not the type of 'Tommy Chong' employee you'd judgmentally expect to work with products to get people high. She was so courteous, professional, knowledgeable and funny! My partner was curious about what products people with serious medical conditions would use and even though we couldn't buy any of them, Hilary (Hillary? Hillerie? Miss Clinton?) wasn't annoyed at all and told us about some of the items. I don't think I could walk into a Ferrari dealership, tell the salesman I can't buy anything in here and expect the salesman to stick around. We tried not to be those tourists, but Hilary seemed genuinely interested in us and giving us a positive experience. We remember two other women working there that smiled at us but Hilary was sure to give us her full attention which we really appreciated. There was so much of the green stuff we truly wanted to smell each one but we got the top 10 recommendations from Hilary, who even had a hard time narrowing it down! (Yes, they let you smell and look at it all!) We ended up getting some of Jimi Hendrix and Oregon triple diesel as well as chewy fruity candies and top shelf lighters! We had way too much fun in there and are amazed at how well this industry is thriving. If every place was like Top Shelf in terms of atmosphere, quality and selection of items and professionalism of service, there should be one on every street corner because having to fly there is slightly inconveniencing!
