Tangerine Dream

Every now and then a dice roll of genetics produces a strain with a range of effects that unfold in distinct yet coalescing acts, like a Broadway show or Pulitzer Prize winning novel. This is Tangerine Dream.
Act One—The Gentle Indica: Almost as soon as I exhale the refreshing citrus flavored smoke, the Afghan genetics begin massaging every muscle in my body; tension I didn't realize I had starts to unwind. Thoughts begin skittering to my subconscious like cockroaches in a spotlight. My mind a blank slate, my body a loose meat bag... I close my eyes and take in a precious minute of pure, unadulterated relaxation. Unbeknownst to me, the Haze in this strain is starting to warm up, loading thoughts one by one like the magazine of a gun.
Act Two—There's Something About Sativa: My mind, body, and sour are perfectly in sync, every breath is deep and fulfilling. It's around noon, and normally I'd be putting off work but I return to my computer with a smile on my face. 'Why do I have so many browser tabs open?' I ask myself, and begin closing them with no regard to their importance or lack thereof. Once every tab is closed, I close every program and empty the Recycling Bin. My desktop is as clear as my mind, now I can get stuff done. I'm falling back into deep relaxation when I hear the click of a gun's hammer being pulled back. "Sativa... Sativa is that you?"
Act Three—Sailing on Citrus Seas: Bang! The Sativa genes in this strain fire a single thought into my otherwise empty mind. It's so focused and beautiful there by itself, uncluttered by the other baggage that's normally bogging down my mind. Still relaxed and calm, I take that thought and start applying it. I'm working effectively and clearly, it feels like I got put into neutral and the productivity knob turned up to eleven. The happiness is palpable, I can't remember the last time I was cruising through files like this, enjoying fully everything that I do. The sativa effects are in full swing now but the indica is holding back it's less enjoyable effects like anxiety. It's as if the cannabis set off a predefined program in my mind the second I took flame to it: a diverse lineage created to put mankind into the perfect state of mind for life. It's balanced effects have a dynamic quality to them, working as needed to put the mind and body into exactly the state it should be in for any given situation. It has a way of streamlining thoughts in a manageable and productive way, leaving the rest of my mind free to creatively interpret whatever I'm doing, and my body in a functional state of calmness.
Epilogue: So I guess this is where I tell you what I learned—my conclusion, right? Well my conclusion is: Tangerine Dream is perfect. Life's too short to not have this strain in your life all the time, it's just that good. Derek says it's always good to end with a quote. He says someone else has already said it best. So if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong. So I picked a guy I thought you'd like. 'Awakening your spiritual side is really what artists do. When you hit a groove, it's not you; it's the spirit world.'
