The People's Wellness Center

Ok first off... I do LOVE these guys... they are in it for the patient, and it shows! BUT! $50gm donation OG Kush wax??? I will admit it did look better and smell better, but it wasn't any more medicinal, and definitely not worth donations of $20-$25 over the competition. $40gm donations for OMP shatter... eh, it tasted 'green' and sizzled (impurities according to hightimes) and again, not worth the asking. $25 donations for clones... really?? I haven't reimbursed for herbage yet, nothing has jumped out at me as connoisseur level, but with their other top-teir pricing, I am not sure it would for me anyways. (any more than $10gm reimbursement is too much unless the grower uses real gold infused nutrients and ships it to Amsterdam for clipping, and charging more feels like a slap in the face to those in the know...) This all being said... they DO have top-notch people skills, and an awesome vision and execution and the atmosphere is very open, clean, relaxing and they do offer other patient services...

Medical Marijuana Farmers Market

Well... I understand that this is a 'Farmers Market' kind of angle, and I respect that... but it is a medicine, and this place seems to have missed that memo. My first visit: Gave an average reimbursement for an 1/2 of 'Jack Herer', $125 IIRC, but it was kind of dark in there, and I didn't notice until I got home that it was outdoor (and looked it) AND had botrytis (bud rot) inside most of the buds. I threw it away. My second visit: Went in to complain about the JH, was met with attitude, and basically told I was mistaken. (I wasn't). Ended up buying an 1/8th of 'Pit Bull' which did look and smell better, but was not covered in trichomes, and wasn't especially potent. My third visit: Went in, done with their flowers, looking for concentrates. Reimbursed for shatter, melted on my way home and tasted really 'green' My last visit: Went in with some excess (,id-top shelf) meds. Was offered a reimbursement rate of < 3.50gm... after previously paying > 7gm I realized that I was in the wrong place... I did pick up some Budder, after another patient dabbed some with me with me right there in the main store (that was a first for me). What I took home was softer than what was dabbed with me and it sizzled (which High-Times says is impurities, and kind of 'burnt sugar' tasting) whereas the sample didn't. Yup, i'm done...

The Guild

Besides being a patient and caregiver for over 12 years, I have been a fan and connoisseur of our favorite flower for over 25. That being said, I have seen a LOT of herb in my time, and known many growers, read many a book on the subject etc... I can honestly say that OMG is every thing I have ever dreamed of under one roof! First, their meds: I'm pretty sure that, even if you have always lived in Eugene, you are like most people who get pretty good herb, but every so often... when the stars all align, you find something that is so unbelievably good that you wish every bag in between was 'like that stuff'.... well, OMG's meds are 'like that stuff', every single strain, every single time!!! The meds that they carry are like stepping into a centerfold spread of your favorite cannabis-related magazine. Their edibles are so delectable, and are obviously made with hash or kief rather than crappy leaf and are appropriately labeled with 'try half first'. They also carry lollipops which are near impossible to find, and work very well as a timed release dose if you put it away after a few minutes. Their BHO's are properly prepared, and it shows in their level of quality in every category! If you want a real treat, try the 'caviar'; which is a house favorite strain of bud, soaked in hash oil and rolled in Keif... one word... wow! The atmosphere: I have been to dispensaries in LA and Oakland, Seattle, Portland, Salem, North Bend, and the couple in Eugene and let me tell you; OMG has, by far, the best level of patient comfort and privacy combined with knowledge AND customer service/professionalism that I have ever seen in ANY kind of medical establishment. Period. Final: If you want the best there is, grown by people who focus on quality rather than quantity and don't want you to reimburse at a rate higher than the guys slinging in kesey square... there is only one name in the Northwest, Oregon Microgrowery Guild. Six Stars.
