Alex was my bud tender when I came in with my daughter. We were visiting relatives down in L.A. and are from Oregon. She was so friendly and helpful and got us just the medication we both needed to make our trip a fun and memorable one. Those Dompens were amazing! I didn't get the woman's name from that company who was there, selling them. But she was pretty chill, too. This place is a great place to go if you are coming into Burbank Airport and need some good stuff to get you through your trip. You'll be so glad you did. Thank you, Alex.
Katie was my bud tender when I came in last week. She was so amazing. She was friendly, smart and easy to talk to. She also gave me some good ideas about Canna Butter in ice trays! Thanks again for that. My bud was really good and so was my Live Resin. Mana Extracts is a good enough Live Resin, but the jar they put it in is kind of tiny and hard to get the bottom of the resin out. So, only for this reason, I prefer the Viola Extracts. Their jar is a bit larger and easier for the bottom scraping.
Oops! Sorry I called you Lori ( Laurie), Linda! ( I typed that review "before" I medicated). BTW, this Viola Extracts Lemon Sugar Kush Live Resin is amazing! I highly recommend it! :)
I also forgot to add that the budtender that day didn't adhere to the days special, which was this:
Top Shelf Tuesdays!
Get $5 off an 1/8th and $10 off a 1/4 for ANY STRAIN OVER 20% THC!
I had two strains that were over 20% and I received no discount. A customer shouldn't have to tell a budtender how to do their job. I did bring it up during the transaction, but I know I didn't get that discount, no way, no how!
Ramin, the owner, was who waited on me on New Year's Day. He is such a nice, down-to-earth kind of guy. He sells nice, quality bud and his prices are pretty decent for those of us Medical people who don't have a ton of cash to spend. He even gave me a nice pair of Huff socks as a New Years and new patient, gift. You can't beat that with a stick. Go and check them out, you won't be sorry.
As usual, I got excellent service today, but I am sad to know that Nick, who was my bud tender again this visit, is leaving this location to go to work at Kaleafa's newest location which will be opening in Oregon City, soon. He also told me that Matt and Tyler are going, too. I will definitely be sad to see all of these guys leave. They are all top-notch kind of guys and bud tenders. But, Nick was telling me that all three of them live closer to that location, so I was happy for all of them to not have to make that bear of a commute every time they have to go to work. Traffic in the Portland Metro area is getting nuts now days. I want to thank all of you for making my visits great and also, to the owners of Kaleafa for treating your employees right and taking care of them in this way. I guess that is why the service and bud tenders here are so good. They have great people to work for. That says a lot about this place. Nick, Tyler and Matt, you all will be missed. Oregon City, our loss is YOUR gain. Nice to know that Eden and Michael will still be there. Thank goodness for that!
It has a really dark, purplish color and a strong piney smell to it. When you smoke it, there is strong pine, as well, with hints of grape. If you take too big of a hit, it expands a lot and will make you cough your head off. This stuff does give you a bad case of the munchies and cotton mouth. But other than that, the high comes on in the temples of the head and the upper sinuses, or at least, it did with me. It's more of a couch-lock type of high, so I think this must lean a lot more towards indica. Very interesting high.
This strain is aptly named because if you smoke too much of it, you do tend to get spaced out. But, if you don't smoke too much of it, it gives you a nice body buzz, and if you are watching something funny, it will give you a bad case of the giggles like you'd not believe.
I suffer from stress, depression and chronic pain due to Arthritis and Fibromyalgia and this helped all of these conditions. No paranoia and no cotton mouth. It also did not give me the munchies. I have no idea if this is a 50-50 hybrid, but with the spacey-type quality it can have, it's probably a little more on the indica side. Nice, smooth smoke. I tasted hints of pine on the intake toke, slight mint on the exhale.
Brody and Andy ( or did he say Candy?), waited on me yesterday. There was a nice, younger woman that was helping me, earlier, but I guess something called her away, so these two finished the transaction. I wish I had gotten her name, too. She was really nice. Anyhow, Brody, thank you so much for changing the SFV OG with the Head Honcho last minute, for me. I am so glad I got that. Not that SFV OG isn't any good, but I like this Head Honcho a bit better-great pain relief and definitely, no couch lock or munchies. I like learning about and trying new strains. Clementine was new for me, too. Also, a very nice strain. When I used to come here earlier, there was a guy named David who was so chill. I wonder if he's the boss or whatever. But what I always notice about this place, their bud tenders know their weed. If it's something you've never heard of or could look up, they know what it is and can tell you about it. I get so tired of going to a place and asking, only for them to look at you stupidly and say "I don't know". Why have people working for you who don't know their job? Kudos to this place for having great customer service by people who know their products. They are even quite knowledgeable about their edibles. As a Medical Patient, that means a lot.
