Almost not like being stoned , because there are zero sativa effects, but the pure indica feeling is lovely. Very relaxing, euphoric, sleepy... it just feels more like a gentle sedative than a strain of weed. Sometimes that's exactly what you want though.
Not a strain that blows your head off, but a nice stimulating effect with a little relaxation to take the edge off. Very energising sativas sometimes put me on edge, and Mimosa is one of the most energising of all, but it also has a sort of mellow dreaminess which calms the racing thoughts and makes everything feel cosy. It's a strange combination of feelings but it works. Just make sure you don't smoke this immediately before bed, because you might as well have a cup of black coffee.
As an all-round strain, this has to be number 1. There are heavy indicas, electrifying sativas etc, but if I had to choose one strain to smoke forever, it would surely be Wedding Cake. It's probably too relaxing for wake-and-bake, but I'm not a wake-and-baker, so for everything else this is perfect: smooth but not stupefying, it makes you giggly, it soothes muscle pain, it relieves anxiety, it's good for sex... and best of all, I don't think I've ever had a bad batch. Even very average grows are good stuff. So this wins over OG Kush for me as the best general strain for daily use.
Fairly standard indica, but with a lovely euphoric edge. Smooth earthy taste with a little berry and perhaps a bit of cheese. Slows you down but doesn't immediately put you out. Nice for watching a movie. Not for mornings!
Strange smoke but a very nice one - doesn't really get you super "high" but has a massive effect on your general mood. I was in a shit mood, smoked this and felt calm and happy. None of the usual racing sativa brain or internal swirl, just a simple relaxed euphoria. Lovely. Totally different to most modern strains which are all about the cerebral blast. This felt more like a dash of MDMA.
At higher doses it becomes a run of the mill sativa hybrid, but that initial rush of hazy good cheer is lovely and pretty much unique for modern weed. Much gentler than most, but not "weak", just different.
Two hits on a joint of neat Runtz and I've been in the clouds for an hour. This stuff is a freight train. But nice. Big deep indica stone meets smiley Sativa rush, and they get on. I can see how in certain situations you might not want to be couchlocked this hard while your mind is going this fast, but right now I'm really liking it. Although I'm going to have to get up because food is now beginning to seem like a very good idea.
Definitely the best tasting strain I've ever tried but I wasn't overly impressed by the effects. A potent but very fuzzy, detached high (and that's coming from an indica fan). I'd heard people say this was an ideal hybrid, but for me the problem seemed to be that the two distinct effects didn't really match up very well. There was sedation and couchlock, and there was a degree of cerebral effect, but they didn't seem to fit together smoothly, compared to other indica dominant hybrids like Zkittlez. There's nothing to complain about particularly, it's strong stuff and it's not a harsh or unpleasant high at all, it just feels a bit numbing, without the blissful floaty feeling you want from a kush. Nice enough but overhyped. The taste and smell, though - they're just as great as everyone says.
Would be a nice heavy high if it weren't for the fact it tastes awful and it's hard to get that taste out of your mouth. Maybe that was just the batch I got though, which was pretty cheap and low grade. The high is typical pure indica, though, not as subtle as GDP or Skywalker OG, but solid and pleasant and calm. Unfortunately it has a bit of a hangover effect when you wake up, so it's not ideal for putting you to sleep before an important early start, which indicas are usually great for. You'll sleep, but you might not feel too sharp in the morning.
The best indica I've ever tried. Extremely potent without being overpowering, it has JUST the right amount of sativa content to keep you uplifted and stop you turning into a total zombie, while it delivers that ultra-heavy indica stone in beautifully dense buds which absolutely reek of jet fuel in the nicest possible way. Unlike a pure indica (e.g. hindu kush) it doesn't completely empty your head and knock you out, so you can do an all-night session on this stuff, but it's fair to say you won't be too talkative. Just very, very calm and very, very happy.
But despite that uplift, this doesn't feel like a hybrid, it's very very definitely indica and it has all the good qualities of an indica with none of the bad ones (no crash-out, no foggy head the next morning). I can't even imagine feeling any form of anxiety on this strain. It's maybe not the best for appreciating music or the open air because you're just too weighed down, so abstract things kind of wash over you, but it's perfect for watching a movie because your mind is clear, not racing or wandering. You wouldn't want this to be the only strain you ever smoked because it's kind of one-dimensional, but if you want a heavy indica which also has a really good euphoric effect and doesn't just make you feel like a statue, this really could be the one. If you're in that kind of indica mood - end of a hard day at work, just getting back from a session in the gym - this is absolutely gorgeous stuff.
Funny that this strain has been probably the most commonly available weed in London for the last few years. Anyone who has ever been in the same room as this stuff will understand why that's funny - London is a tightly-packed, crowded urban environment where marijuana is still illegal, and this stuff is the smelliest weed I've ever encountered in my life. Triple-wrap it, it doesn't matter: you get on the tube on a warm day with a bag of this in your pocket and you're going to stink out the entire carriage. It's the only weed I've ever known that smells stronger before you smoke it than when you're actually smoking it. And it's not a nice smell, either. It's like sour milk.
BUT when you actually smoke the stuff, you realise why it's so popular, despite the stink. Very strong, very smooth, with a really powerful instant euphoria which slowly melts into a nice cosy relaxation. Definitely sativa-dominant, but the indica undertow is very noticeable too, and keeps you grounded. The cheesy taste is strong, but thankfully it's much, much nicer than the cheesy smell. This is a great hybrid, really well-balanced and potent. But not recommended for anyone who has to keep their weed secret.
