Grape Ape

6/5/2016
I like this strain. I wasn't too familiar at first but after enjoying some wax from Artizen, I'm hooked. The taste is amazing, like a grape Jolly Rancher. Not the ones you get now but those ruler-sized strips you used to get 30 years ago. And just like grape bubblegum too - those big ass bricks you would get with Garbage Pail Kids for 50 cents at the corner drugstore. THAT grape! The high is very mellow, sedate. I mix a bit of the wax with some Blue Dream kief for a great, relaxing but aware buzz. Creativity without going comatose.

Durban Poison

To quote Jerry Lee Lewis - "Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire!" I love this strain! I'm usually in the hybrid camp (since real landraces are so rare these days) but this is one that I'll take whenever it becomes available. This is my 'ready to get shit done' smoke. Love what it does for the creative spirit. I highly recommend this to any artistic believers out there as a preset to any creative project. I'm not big on smoking until I'm unconscious so I try to stay with the lighter strains but this one is great to reach out a bit . I love the earthy taste, it fits the high - soaring, crisp and clean like looking out over Paradise Ridge. Be mindful though, anxious folks should proceed with caution. Too much will make for an uncomfortable next few hours.

Burmese Kush

4/26/2016
I'm really impressed by the effects of this strain. I enjoy sativas for my daytime activities but would like a little relaxation later in the day when I'm gearing down. Burmese really fits the bill here. I'm not looking for a classic Kush indica that'll knock me out but one that's just mellow enough to make the couch fit not adhere.

Tahoe OG

This one wasn't so bad. I'm not a big OG fan but this one surprised me. The name OG Kush is ubiquitous. It's been tacked onto all sorts of strains of varying potency and flavor. Although listed as a hybrid, it has classically been a strong indica. I'm old school so my reviews of the classics are tainted by years of buying crap from the Guy... 'OG Kush, man! No, really! I know the grower!' or "Dude, this Headband is whack! No, it's an indica Headband" Spurious claims from questionable sources. However, we live in new times. So, I find this strain of 'Ocean Grown' to be refreshing and relaxing. I love to vape a bit before I hit the sack. It's also great as a decompressor from a hard day at the coal mine. I recommend it as a means to take the edge off.

God's Gift

4/17/2016
I enjoy this strain in the evening when I'm at home chillin' with a beer after a long eight hour shift when all I want to do is nothing. A full hour of just staring at the 'Net, smokin' a bud of God's Gift and listening to MY freaking music! This little bud is smooth, a bit earthy and just relaxing enough to take the edge off without putting you on the couch for six hours bingeing on Gillican's Island.

Emerald Haze Cannabis Emporium - Renton

1/14/2016
This is my second visit. I had a less than pleasant experience my first time in but I feel you should never judge a place by just one look. This time around the vibe was right on the mark. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful that I gave them another chance. The budtender wasn't pushy or bothered by my choices at all! I got some kief and concentrates, which he described and easily answered questions about. The prices were more than reasonable, quite affordable for bankrupt old hippies like myself. This is a real good place, I will return many more times.

Nice taste, a bit spicy with a pine/woodsy overtone. I got mine at Evergreen Market. Liberty Reach has never failed me so if some of their stock is available, pick it up!

The Evergreen Market - North Renton

5/15/2015
I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The atmosphere was very inviting, not stuffy. I met one of the budtenders at the door and she proceeded to impress the heck outta me. I'm an old fool from back in the Mexican brick weed days so I'm bit long in the tooth when it comes to cannabis. This young lady knew her stuff and was a fountain of great information. I will definitely be back.

Cannabis City

Supply issues aren't the fault of the store. Give it some time. Gardens are growing as fast as Mother Nature will allow. Vent at the WSLCB, not the retailers. The rules are so hosed up that decent growers can't get started. Any way, got a sample on 8/15 of the West Seattle Kush and it was very nice. Aromatic, sticky and fresh, the buzz was a creeper but a nice 2 hr. from a couple of rips. Kudos to the crew at this store. I'll be back.

Vortex

Vortex is one of the staples of the cannabis pharmacopeia. TGA is renowned for their genetics and Vortex is one of the best. Mine was grown hydro using GH 3-part with amendments, finishing with Earth Juice and organic sweeteners; this strain kicked booty! Within a few minutes of vaping, vascular pain was almost non-existent. What little discomfort remained was easily handled with just a couple of ibuprofen for six hours of relief. Highly recommended!
