Mimosa

12/23/2023
Very pleasant and uplifting. I've had a few recent experiences with sativa strains that have been a bit on the edgy side, so Mimosa comes as something of a relief. It's a mellow sativa all the way. Sweet florally flavour when smoked, a nice warm fuzzy feeling in the body while at the same time clear-headed and energised. It's taking me quite a long time to write this short review because I've got music playing in the background and every now and then the beat takes my feet and I'm up and dancing around the room!

Trainwreck

12/18/2023
I generally prefer sativa for its uplifting effects and clarity of thought. Yet, as we speak, I'm getting high on some lovely indica, and it's a lush sigh of relief after the jittery ride that is trainwreck that I was smoking earlier this evening. I've smoked trainwreck several times now - indoors and outdoors, active and chilled - and while in amongst the racing thoughts have been a few deep insights, relentless introspection can take its toll. It was certainly potent enough to lift me out of a depressive funk, but it was more a nervous energy than uplifting.

Apple Pie

12/3/2023
Apple Pie didn't really do it for me. Great flavour and an almost immediate rush which was quite pleasant. However I found this strain to be a bit on the edgy side, enhancing rather than mitigating my anxious and depressive states. Got me into a creative state of mind and working on a creative project, but nowhere near the deep focus and effortless enthusiasm that I love about sativas in general. Occasional waves of energy and upliftment just got washed out and eventually subsided into a dazed and sleepy state - which was nice in itself but I wouldn't recommend this strain as the best way to get to a dazed and sleepy state.

Bruce Banner

10/8/2023
Anxious! Euphoric! Focused! Tingly! This outlandish concoction of effects just about sums up the hard-hitting Bruce Banner. Folks, this is like living through being hit by a steam train - minus the pain and side effects. Wow. I don't often wake and bake, but today I needed a wake and bake. Work has been stressful on top of long term depression. When I began this review, I gave Bruce Banner 4 stars. I'm upgrading that to 5. The clarity of thought is phenomenal. It's the kind of flower that can help you to solve a problem rather than sweep it under the rug. All the little things that usually bother me are like rustling leaves in an autumn breeze. Fantastic! 100 percent! Highly recommended!

Ultra Sour

5/6/2023
Folks, let me tell you about my first experience with ultra sour. First off, let's take a sniff of that dried flower. Man! Wow! That smells ultra sour! Tldr; Folks, this shit is the shit. Get it if you can. You won't be disappointed. The long version: I like to go hiking when it's full moon and tonight was my only opportunity this month. Rain was coming in this evening but I decided to put on my rain gear and head out anyway. It was full dark by the time I got up to the cave. Usually there's a stunning view of the city but tonight all you could see was cloud past the cave mouth. I smoked about a third of an ultra sour joint, drank some coffee, ate a sandwich and packed up to go - everything was getting a bit cold and damp and home was calling. Folks, we're not just talking ultra sour here. We're talking ultra. With the fortitude of an iron man and the poise of a scare crow I deftly wended my way down the rocky zigzag trail, fiercely wishing that I had windscreen wipers for my spectacles as I expertly avoided faceplanting in the limelight of my headlamp. "God Meant Business When He Created Ultra Sour." I didn't say that. Phenomenal focus. Outstanding clarity. Mountains of energy.
