Blue Dream

Strain: Lucid Blue from Nature’s Medicines Consumption Method: Vaporized @ 392 degrees Appearance: 4/5 The nugs are dense, marbled blue-green, and super sugary, with reddish orange to red pistils. Exactly what you would expect from a Blue Dream cut. Nose: 3/5 The smell is a bit indelicate, with a hard hitting pine on the front end, which on a second sniff mellows to a pithy lemon and the lightest hint of blueberries on the back end. Flavor: 4/5 Lucid blue packs a big citrus wallop on the front end. Once you get past that hint of bitter pith you’re rewarded with a sweet, tannic blueberry, and a whisper of violets on the exhale. I’d compare the flavor profile to a good Rosè wine. Experience: 3/5 I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of most modern Sativas and Sativa dominant hybrids. They tend to feel speedy and get me lost in my head in a way that strains like Acapulco Gold and Maui Wowie just don’t. With that said, I really enjoy Lucid Blue! It’s mellow and clear headed, and I can put my thoughts in order. I’m fairly convinced that this strain has Headband genetics somewhere in its past, because it gives me that same perfect head pressure I’ve come to associate with Humbolt county indicas. On the whole I’m relaxed, happy, completely out of it pain, and ready to get some work done. Overall: 3.5/5 Lucid blue is a delicious strain and a great every day smoke but it won’t exactly having you wax philosophical about the Bigger Luke Theory. It’s restoring my faith in modern sativas, but when it comes down to a straight choice, I’ll pick Acapulco Gold every time.

Heads up to any transgender people thinking about going to Nature’s Medicines, don’t expect the budtenders to be even mildly respectful. They’ve got a ‘note in the system’ about my name, and yet the past two times I’ve been there I have been deadnamed and misgendered in front of an entire waiting room.
