This is one of the finer MMJ access points north of Seattle and simply one of the best I have seen anywhere. Whilst small in physical size, they have an excellent variety of indica, sativa and high-CBD strains. No dry meds are over $12/gm and the donation rates go down as the amount goes up (in most cases, anyway). They also have a nice selection of concentrates and edible-medibles at very reasonable donation rates. In addition, 221RX has Vita Verde creams and ointments. In case you don't know about these great products from a local Seattle area company I highly recommend them to anyone who has muscle or joint pain. Fantastic people and a great atmosphere make 221RX a great asset to Skagit county's MMJ community.

This is, according to the staff, is a newly opened dispensary - although the coffee house and art gallery have been open for several months the Zen Living Collective has been in operation for about a month(ish), and it is well worth a visit. The reception/check-in area is inside the coffee house portion of the property. The staff are friendly, courteous and professional. I was greeted promptly, quickly and concisely advised of the procedures, policies and within minutes I was verified. The even offered me a fresh Americano (decaf) to enjoy as I waited my turn with the BudMaster/BudTender. Zen Living Collective sits in a true garden environment so the first few times they will guide you to the "Bud House" where you will meet the Bud Tender and be introduced to their inventory. The quality and selection of dry meds is very good, although they are limited on their supply of concentrates (hash, oils, etc.). There was a nice selection of Keif (Kif) and at $20/gr donation it was well worth it. They keep their dry meds prices at $10/gr - I didn't ask about larger quantities - and also have jars of $5/gr "joint" material. I assumed that this was that nasty tasting "trim" or "shake", but as they say, never assume! You make an ass out of Uma Thurman or something....anyway, no it is in reality the leavings at the bottom of their jars of top quality meds. Same taste, same high, same effects at half the price. The Bud Tender told me that all their meds come from within 20-25 miles of their location and they have everything tested at a lab in Vancouver, WA with the results displayed for your inspection. This is a place that I hope will do well and be around for a long, long time. They had a couple of guitars sitting in the coffee shop area and I asked who the musicians were - as I am a bit of guitar plunker myself - and they explained that many, if not most, of the folks that work there or hang out there play. They even let me play one of the guitars while I waited my turn. (I gave them a bad rendition of Hotel California - a bit out of practice I'm afraid). It reminded me so much of the wee pubs in Scotland or the old "Last Exit on Brooklyn" in Seattle's U-Dist. If you're in or near the Skagit Valley you really ought to do yourself a favor and visit this gorgeous little oasis on Chuckanut Drive - and they even make a decent cup of coffee.
