I have been shopping here weekly for over two years. Today, I was short changed $22. I noticed while still at the register and asked the cashier to recount my change. He refused. He brought his manager out who offered to just give me whatever amount of money regardless of who was right. I asked politely to recount the change, as I knew I was right, and the cashier had been adamant about “knowing how to count money” The cashier was extremely rude and dismissive and I wanted his simple mistake corrected , but he needed it to be a big deal. He ended up giving me $12 back, and I frustratedly walked out as I have a medical condition and can’t stand for long periods of time.
I returned 10 minutes later with my Partner. We requested the video footage be reviewed or till be counted. The manager and cashier both refused, said I was being difficult because I left when they were trying to make it better, and just wanted me to leave. Finally another manager with purple hair came out to the rescue. He determined that the toll was in fact OVER. Like I had said. The cashier made a mistake. After finding this out the cashier and previous manager still wanted to argue with and belittle me.
They said awful and rude things, interrupted me, talked over me, said I was incapable of being receptive after i asked to not be interrupted, and raised their voices which made me cry in front of all the other customers.
lost a customer who spends about $7k annually , congrats on protecting your ego
