ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE/RETENTION by the Ann Arbor manager today.... I was texted this TARGETED text offer for purchases that I had made in June (in other words they were aware of my purchase history, hence the offer). I did not have the receipt like the offer said in the text, so I made a phone call to the store. I informed the store that I did not have the receipt and asked if they could look up my purchase via My Rewards membership and my ID. I asked if those would be enough to utilize this coupon. I was told that was most likely the case and to come on in. So I drove 10 miles to go there during my lunch break, down industrial with all the construction, based on this phone call. When I arrived the manager met me at the purchase counter, I informed him of the phone call I had, who I talked to, and what was the scenario. The manager absolutely refused to look up my information or to honor the coupon, and said I had to have the printed receipt, and that someone should have told me when I made the purchase. I informed him that no one told me anything about the receipt offer at either time of purchase, and that you are blaming the customer for something that one of your staff did not do (during a period in which they were busy during a sale). Lunch hour lost, gas lost, all a waste. He was absolutely adamant and not budging. He had zero desire to work with the customer or have any type of customer with retention whatsoever. While as a customer the manager viewed me as expendable, he fails to see that Skymint is but one fish in a sea of many in the Washtenaw market. His service just has, and will continue to dissolve your market share, even as miniscule as he may view it.  I had been referring every user that I know there. I've spent a lot of money here and I doubt that's going to continue to be the case based on this absolutely poor customer service. It would be one thing if when I called they said no we just cannot honor that without the printed receipt. It was something completely different telling me that more than likely they could, and to come on In. THEN after I made the trip, to do absolutely nothing to help me based on their phone call. I'm livid, and will be telling others of my experience here for sure. Not that they care.
