The budtender said this strain was a mix of Maui Wowie and ChemDawg, and clocked in at about a 70/30 indica-sativa hybrid. The smoke is good, pretty interesting flavor that's unique but not entirely appealing. The effects are very sedating—too much so for my tastes. Put me right to sleep, which is cool if that's your desired effect; used early in the evening, though, it gets me much too drowsy too quickly.
This one hits hard, and hits good. I will definitely be visiting Sour Bubba again soon.
The body effects are enchanting. You'll feel yourself floating after the first hit. You become "very aware of what your skeleton is doing," according to SWIM. It's "like you can feel the air on your skin and the hair on your legs growing."
Your body will feel good, basically.
The taste is great, hard to describe. Maybe like salad dressing? Creamy in that way, perhaps. No. It was definitely the herbs and spices.
Great strain for stretching, light yoga—anything that puts you in tune with your body. You'll be present with your feelings and whatever activities you're doing. Also great for just sitting back and zoning out to the body feels, of course.
Overall, I can't rate this strain highly enough. 5/5
Decent pick-me-upper for the afternoon and early evening. I'm a daily toker, so this doesn't sedate me too much, and I feel a nice cerebral effect that's good for watching TV or playing games. Doesn't get you crazy-high, doesn't get you crazy-stoned. I wouldn't call the effects "mellow"—more of a nice "buzz" than anything.
Not my favorite strain in the world, taste-wise, but that's a personal preference. Also not a big fan of the munchies it causes.
Just like the description says, this was the perfect strain to smoke at the end of a productive day. Definitely gets you high rather than stoned. Great for chilling out and playing video games or whatever, though I imagine it would be just as fun to go outside after smoking a bowl of this.
Great taste, great smoke, great effects. A+
Top notch stuff! The nugs I got from Green Life were huge and beautiful—tight with lots of trichromes. The smell is amazing—the terpines are clearly in full force. WFAOG's salty-sweet aroma wafts off the buds lightly, its sugary body giving way to spicy herbal after-notes. Truly a lovely genotype.
The effects are likewise high quality. I was in stitches with giggles shortly after smoking a regular-sized bowl of this. Euphoria hits hard and, in my case, gradually eased into racing thoughts and revelations.
I was surprised that this strain, which is supposedly 60% indica, wasn't great for falling asleep—at least for me. I feel quite energetic after smoking it—very high as opposed to stoned. Not a bad thing (I'm still rating it five stars!) but not what I expected.
If you get an opportunity to smoke White Fire Alien OG, do it! This is some seriously dank medicine.
Not sure if this place has gone downhill since most of these reviews were posted or what, but I was decidedly not impressed with Cloners Market.
The selection is big, yes, but it's frequently changing, so if you see something you like one week, it may not be there the next. When I called to ask when they'd have Blue Dream in again, the employee I spoke to said he had no idea and was very unhelpful.
Speaking to this same employee, I asked some basic questions (what type of medium the clones are grown in, etc.) and he continued to give curt one-word responses. I reserved a few clones and went in anyway.
This place has a ton of clones! The two I reserved were waiting behind the counter as promised, but when I compared them to the strain's other clones in the back, it was clear that the employee I spoke to had reserved me the unhealthiest ones in the batch! Thankfully the employee attending the store helped me pick out some healthier-looking clones. The employee offered some very basic advice regarding the strain, but I was not given any materials or documentation about my plants, which another reviewer mentioned. The attending employee was also quite stoned, though I won't hold this against the employee too much.
The clones are healthy and look well, but both developed a fungal gnat problem in my clean grow room only a few weeks into their grow. No signs of any other pests yet.
Overall, if you have other options for clones in Seattle, I would recommend those over Cloners Market.
It was pretty hard to rate this one. I mean, they named a movie after it, so it's gotta be good, right? Alas, the legendary Pineapple Express just doesn't really do it for me 100%. I still like it, but it's not the bee's knees, as it were. If I were to choose an alternative hybrid as of late, I would say I much prefer 3 Kings.
The taste is great (like pineapples! kinda) and the smoke is smooth, but the effects aren't all there. It'll definitely get you to the next level, but it's missing something that a lot of the danker strains get right. Perhaps it's its relatively low THC level—as an "older" strain, it doesn't have the high percentages seen in recent varieties. Or maybe I was just expecting something more "hybridy" out of this hybrid; it definitely hits as a sativa and I am surprised to see it is not as listed on Leafly.
You'll feel creative, energized, and excited all at once after a bowl of Pineapple Express. But it's not a very sustainable high, and subsequent sessions may not achieve as great an effect (this is true of all strains of course, but I found it especially noticeable with the Pineapple Express).
Pineapple Express may induce munchies, though they can be staved off with copious water and something to distract you. You'll be able to focus on and enjoy intellectually stimulating material such as TV dramas or trippy video games.
I'm a tough critic, so 3/5 really isn't that bad all things considered. I merely wouldn't rate this strain as good as hybrids like 3 Kings (5/5) or XJ-13 (4/5).
Great dank taste. Great high that doesn't interfere with sleep but still provides a pleasant buzz for the evening. Offers a pretty smooth smoke and the buds are nice and chunky. Definitely one of my all-time favorite strains for chilling out after a long day!
Great strain for evening time. Doesn't leave me anxious or too high like some strains—just gives me a great body buzz and some good laughs. Fun for group settings, since you'll while away the time busting a gut.
Can definitely incite the munchies if you're not careful. I've found that as long as I eat well before smoking and stick to just water afterward, then I don't crave food as badly as if I just start pigging out after smoking GdP.
At the end of the day, this is a fantastic strain with a great nose, dope taste, and effects that will rock your world.
I like it. Fairly talkative strain, but relaxing and good for nighttime use. "Great for tripping balls," Patrick said, trailing off. You can concentrate pretty well on it. Taste is great. Subtle, but spicy and herbal. Very pleasant effects. I feel like this would be excellent for anxiety.
