To me, Durban Poison's most distinctive feature is that its high lasts quite a long time. It has a lovely high cycle - never hits too hard, but seems to spread itself out to keep you at a good high for a while. It is a functional, uplifting high - I can get things done and ENJOY doing them. I have not experienced any paranoia with this strain, although that does seem like a common occurrence among other reviewers. This is truly a favorite sativa of mine and I will be going back for more!

I was surprised to read the other reviews - I must not have gotten a very good sample. It was one of the specials at the dispensary, and now I know why. The product was dry and burnt off very quickly, which meant I had to go through quite a bit. The initial high was actually fairly impressive; I could feel it coming on just after the first hit, but moving beyond the initial buzz proved difficult. Once I was there, though, I was pleased. It's a good strain for small gatherings - hanging out, watching movies, barbecues, whatnot. It definitely has a heavy, stony feeling, but at the same time it makes you giggly and talkative. It was nice, and this is definitely a strain I will have to try again, but probably from a different source.

Definitely a strong, invigorating head high. This strain wants you to be adventurous and ever-moving. I found that sitting still while enjoying this smoke was a difficult task; I was always fiddling, and felt itchy and uncomfortable and distracted. I will have to try this as a wake-and-bake or late-afternoon-adventure smoke. I'm looking forward to enjoying the sunshine with this strain! Will re-rate soon, for sure!

A very 'precious' strain - it has a sweet, sugary aftertaste. The high is warm and gentle; no anxiety or paranoia. Overall, I feel happy, relaxed, and completely peaceful. It has creeper tendencies, which might have encouraged me to take a hit or two more than I needed, but nonetheless I do not feel anxious. Just very heavy and content.

Pretty amazing, one of my favorites. I feel very smart & creative, uplifted but not necessarily euphoric. Definitely a good day high. Loooove it.

This was my first legal, medical purchase. I found it really nice for controlling migraines, but I wished it had more of a head high and less of a body high. I felt really clumsy and dizzy, but I was very mentally clear about it. Definitely a good high if you don't have to go anywhere though! Nice to watch movies & fall asleep to. Definitely helps me feel relaxed & sleepy.

Hits hard, but doesn't last as long as other strains I've tried - maybe starts to fade after half an hour, though it takes a long time to wear off completely. Very dry eyes and mouth, can give a feeling of dread, depending on the situation and where you are. Not a terribly giggly high, but I feel do feel quite creative & philosophical, and more focused. Overall, I do quite like it.
