What is an octobowl?
The octobowl is a proprietary bowl piece designed and produced by Grav Labs to be used in bongs. Traditional bowls have one opening at the bottom, which causes resin to build up and ash to fall through. The octobowl has a built-in glass screen with eight small holes for airflow at the base of the bowl, which prevents excess loss of product, ensures an even burn, and reduces clogging.
How to use an octobowl
Grav Labs produce octobowls in various sizes to suit many types of pieces. Simply attach the octobowl to the appropriate downstem and pack a bowl as you would, and the smoke will filter through the piece better.
How to clean an octobowl
The numerous small openings make an octobowl harder to clean than a traditional bowl piece. The easiest way to clean one is to fully soak it in a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and rock salt for at least an hour. After, rinse with warm water and all residue should be stripped away.
