Permaculture

Permaculture is an agricultural term sometimes used in cannabis cultivation, and refers to systems of sustainable cannabis farming. Permaculture might include storing rainwater, composting, living soil, and other processes that seek to create a permanent sustainable farm. The opposite of permaculture might include modern industrial farming, which involves heavy use of petro-chemical fertilizers and irrigation, which, along with mono-cropping, strips soil bare and can harm the ecosystem. The term “permaculture” was coined in the ’70s, combining “permanent” and “agriculture.”

‘Hippie Steve’s permaculture farm is light years beyond any normal organic farmer. He uses his own alpacas’ poop in his fertilizer.’
