Got there on day 3, one of the last to get Opal, the only selection remaining. Staff was courteous. Definetly paid the donation price for limited supply, but excited to partake in the first legal rollout in Washington!

Great Service!

It was my first time going to cannabis city and it was not as bad as what the other review said. I got to the store 12 minutes before it opened and there were about 8 people in line. By the time the store opened the line grew to around 25 people. The service was great. Usually a person would come in and go out within 30 to 40 sec. I bought a gram and a lighter and the cashier was nice enough to provide 10 cents to round the total to the nearest dollar. The cannabis was around $34 but I’m not complaining. Overall, the store is pretty likable

I went there today for the first time (Sunday, 2pm). Nice staff, for sure. Plain inside as the others report here.. I bought a 2 gram bag of "Opal OG Kush" which was the only thing they had in stock- there were no other strains. they had some shake for sale that looked like something I'd buy if that were the only thing available. There were also some cones for sale rather expensive. Beyond that, they had a couple og larger quantities for sale but it was ridiculously expensive. it was not packaged like the 2-gram packs rather it was in the glass case on a dish in a pile. This kind of surprised me as I thought it was all supposed to be sealed in black zip locks so you couldn't actually see it ( or smell it). On the Kush I bought today: interesting stink about it but the flavor was minimal. Effective hybrid however. it's labeled as 80% Indica. There was a small line outside and a relatively short wait. They come out and check your ID In advance. As I was leaving, there were 2 Seattle police cars parked out front. Rather veiled intimidation. I'm happy for legal, recreational laws but the 2 grams cost $42.88 plus $4.12 tax which totals the $47.00 that was priced in showcase. I was pleasantly surprised that the price I had seen was the total because I was expecting to pay tax on top of what I saw. We have a long way to go with this legal weed business and it's incredibly ridiculous that such twits control this commodity (I refer to Washington's liquor board who control all of this.

Good store, products, and nice employees. Only issue right now is the sparse supply. Not their fault and better than almost any other rec. dispensary. But for now you will be standing in line at least 45 minutes.

Staff is nice and VERY helpful, atmosphere is totally awesome! But unfortunately the flowers are not so great. They should consider using higher quality growers, if they plan to keep prices at the same level as shops who sell much higher quality flowers. People are missing the point that it isn't as much about the name of the strain and how popular that name is as it is about the quality of the grower that produced a batch of that popular strain. Their flowers are too ashy burning and extremely dry, noticed this in a variety of their flowers. There are seeds found frequently. If you are new to weed and you've only been to a single rec shop, you should really shop around just to see the difference in taste/freshness/potency of flowers at different locations. For instance, if I must spend $2 more per gram at a location that offers quality of weed that allows me to achieve the same level of 'high' from just a single hit versus ex: 5 hits, plus doesn't make my lungs feel like they've been poisoned, to me, spending the extra couple bucks is worth it at a different location.

It's very non-descript on the outside and I drove right by it my first time there but parking is surprisingly easy and everyone is very friendly. They work hard to give you space but also let you know they're available if you need. Very personal shopping experience, they take their time which I appreciate. Doesn't feel like a profit factory like some of the others. But this means sometimes you will wait to be helped. Be patient and take a look around. The inside is much nicer than the outside lets on. Simple decor, very nice. They offer a pay by card option but make sure to ask about it first. They also have what I think is one of the best strains I've ever had, Golden Ticket. And on Wednesdays they offer $2 off grams which makes things very affordable. Overall, highly recommend it.

This is the first place in Seattle where you can buy marijuana legally for recreational use. I went for that reason alone. I think that this is how things should be nationwide so I came to support. The product was very good (picked up some Blue Dream). It was terribly overpriced and I waited in line for over 45 minutes just for the buy this overpriced weed. Either way, I'd do it again and I can only hope that the more recreational stores that eventually open will drive prices down and keep the product available with no lines.

I am in the Seattle area for the summer traveling, and went to Cannabis City on Friday Aug. 1st. I expected long lines since it was a big restock, so I was prepared for the 2 hour wait. The people in line beside me were great, entertaining and intelligent. I got there at 1:10pm and left the store around 3:20pm with 2 grams (the limit at the time). When I first got in line they had 3 strains, ran out of the strain with the highest THC content within an hour and a half of me being there, and then cut the 3.5 gram limit to 2. That was disappointing, but also expected. Though these things were disappointments, the staff kept you updated the whole time, and was knowledgeable.
**Be ready to stand in line, get there at noon or before, and be flexible for the first month or two with this store.** The long lines and limits aren't their fault, they are simply trying to keep up with the demand. They were even telling us about other stores opened/opening in the area.
It was definitely worth my 2 hours to have my first toke since leaving home. The bud is really nice, the prices on glass, vaporizes, etc. is very reasonable, and I mean--I purchased weed legally. Worth the experience.

this shop is a little smaller than some of the others, but the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. i can trust these folks because they've tried the stuff themselves and can really speak to it.

Thought I would give the only store in Seattle a chance. Every time I went long lines decided to bite the bullet and wait just to say I did it. The shop is small and they only had LIMITED SUPPLY. Only one strain and limited in purchase options. Got 1 gram it was ok way over priced. The second time I went stood in line it took a customer leaving the store to inform us they had no product. In my option the store is pretty worthless. There is a place in Bothell on Bothell - Everette Highway that has awesome stock, nice store, and an excellent staff.

Went in asking for a preroll indica and salesperson gave me a sativa. He said it was indica but he didn't know much about the strain. Luckily for me I did some research on it before lighting it up. Do yourself a favor and bring the leafly app along with u.

I went in looking for an ounce. Iended up with 28-1 gram packages that had a 7 month old harvest date. the quality and weight were not good after stored that long. do yourself a favor try another weed store

I went on opening day. They did a great job handling the line...they handed out bottled water, they kept us informed about what was going on, and the nearby Subway was there taking orders. All in all, things went very well that day.
The shop is small and at the moment the cases only seem to have herb and glassware. They had samples to smell of the 3 herbs they were offering and the product came in a nice black, silver lined resealable bag with the herb's details on front. All of the staff I came in contact with were professional and friendly, the store seemed clean.
The herb I got is very good quality. However, there wasn't any Sattiva available yet when I went. I'll visit again when it becomes available.

Cannabis City is a clean and minimalist store with friendly staff keeping those in line updated on the situation while rationing to meet the demand.

felt a bit like going into a strip club. hideous building and ugly street. they should invest in some paint to brighten up the store. so dreary and seedy looking. a little like a teenaged dudes room inside. and it seems a bit dark in there. small. they didn't have any of the strains i was looking for and the suggested alternative only came in an amount that cost over $100. the salespeople were nice enough and willing to explain things. they did have some pretty glass pipes and bongs and an interesting collection of edibles. overall, i guess i'm unenthusiastic. i don't feel like i would seek this store out again.
